The restaurant is very popular, so it is better to book a place in advance. The service staff is extremely friendly and the service did not cause any complaints. We tried mainly pastas. All the dishes were very rich and pleasant to taste. The portions are quite large and generally filling. I really liked that they divided the salad we ordered for two and served it on different plates at once. Excellent selection of wine, Sauvignon Blanc alone has more than 10 types to choose from. The restaurant has its own valet parking service.

Sottovoce been on my wishlist for a while, but it never happened. Always very busy and difficult to make reservations. But I succeeded one early Sunday evening. The entrance was, as I am used to as a traveler, a table for one, always tucked away in a dark boring corner or somewhere above were the other guests can’t see you. Like you, as a single diner, might have a terrible disease! Fortunately the waiters upstairs were very friendly and the atmosphere upstairs was just as pleasant as downstairs. I found the wine list somewhat short, but I was able to make a nice choice. For starters I chose something very simple, prawns from the grill with olive oil and garlic. Many restaurants have a habit of ruining this very simple dish, with the shrimps completely dry and overcooked! But the chefs in Sottovoce cooked my shrimps just to perfection! Juicy and succulent, and to my surprise, a lovely little delicate spicy aftertaste! Best shrimps I’ve had for a while! With the wonderful Italian bread I cleaned the delicious sauce from the plate! The main course was a green Tagliatelle frutti di mare with lovely seafood and well balanced sauce. Overall it was a very pleasant dining experience except for “the table for one tuck away in the corner problem.” so many restaurants suffer from. If it wasn’t for that I would have given 5 stars.

Wow, the food was outstanding. A wonderful change of pace from the typical Beef heavy meals.  The service was great as well.  All of the gentlemen that took care of our table were polite and professional.  They were patient with our terrible Spanish and were happy to engage us with English when our Spanish failed.  Huge wine selection.

Great experience. Would definitely recommend. Here are the pros / cons:

Pros
- free glass of champagne / Aperol spritz upon arrival
-good prices (paid about $50 USD each)
- pastas were delicious and they pre-split the plates for us since we were sharing
- desserts were good as well, we got the tiramisu and crème brûlée

Cons
- we found appetizers to be mixed

Delightful dinner with delightful food, great service and a great ambiance. We started with the Brasaola de Burrata, a wonderful appetizer with  thin slices of Italian meat with arugula and Burrata. It was fabulous!  For the mains, I chose the ravioli del día (ravioli del ternera con reducción  de carne y Manteca) and my dinner partner had the pappardelle con hongos. Both were quite delicious and very rich. We couldn't decide on dessert so we splurged with panna cotta, gelato de pistachio y aceite oliva, and a dulce de leche ice cream. Each delicious.  If you are visiting Buenos Aires, this place is a must! Michelin recommended, affordable, and an extremely prolific wine list.
