For several years now I have been a member of your Priority Pass lounge program, taking advantage of these escapes from the normal routines and amenities of the airports.

On any occasions, these lounges have provided a comfortable and quiet place to relax, access to drinks and snacks without the pressures of airport stores and restaurants, and their costs, and a degree of isolation from the stresses of an airport.

I travel numerous times during the year visiting airports around the world. I do not know how many lounges and occasional partner restaurants I have  visited, but it has been many.

During the course of my time with your program I have noticed a gradual decline in the overall quality of the Priority Pass membership.

Lounge operating hours, accessible hours for Priority Pass members, and occupancy cutoff limits for members have been reduced. Over half of the time when I want to get into a lounge, I cannot for these reasons.

If I am able to gain access to a lounge, problems are noticed that did not exist before or not to the degree that they do now. Overcrowding, poorly maintained common areas, fewer food and drink options, and sanitary concerns with the food and kitchen areas have been obvious.

I contacted bacterial food poisoning after visiting one lounge at Ibiza Airport this last summer. It was the only food I ate that day and the illness lasted for nearly 2 weeks.

A lounge experience should exceed an airport experience and in the last few years the lounge has been a reduction in quality, by comparison. I would rather visit an airport restaurant that I know provides consistent quality and availability.

As I received the membership through a credit card I am no longer considering it a reason to keep the credit card and its costly annual fee. I am voicing these concerns to the credit card provider, Chase, as well.

I hope that this membership becomes worthwhile again someday.

Lol this is a mega scam company. I can't believe there's so many bad reviews. Anyways below my experience.

I got a policy with them. I'm Irish, my trip was to Bulgaria.

So I had my trip, had a medical event, came back home. Then submitted a claim.

Couple days later, I heard from them.

They said.

" We can NOT pay any medical costs, your policy is not PMI (Private medical insurance) therefore, your Irish local medical insurance has to pay for all costs of your medical event in Bulgaria. "

LOL what? Are they serious?

That whole sentence sounds like a scam.

Why did I buy a policy with them in the first place, if they give me no cover? So, the money I paid, it's some kind of money donation to them? Hilarious.

It's absolutely ridiculous, and a huge scam.

What's the point of buying the policy?

I could just upgrade my local Irish medical policy, to the maximum and have better cover with them.

This company is totally a scam, stay away from them.

Only putting one star as I can't put zero stars. I booked 2 covid tests for my father and I to fly. The booking didn't show in the system so I was advised to buy another 2 tests and then claim a refund. They then did not refund me. I had emails with their customer service department for months which they dragged out. By the time I contacted the credit card company since Colinson were not engaging, the credit card company said they couldn't help as I had got in touch with them too late.

Absolutely diabolical service , DO NOT purchase insurance through this company ( they provide the travel insurance if you book through the Post Office). They dismissed my claim immediately , although it clearly meets their criteria and since then not one of my several email communications have been responded to. It is also impossible to contact them via the telephone as all numbers I have been able to find either ring out or are a answer-home message telling you to email (don’t bother)! I am now taking legal advice as well as reporting to the Financial Ombudsman. Just wish I had known when taking out the insurance that the company was not reputable.

I had a pre-departure PCR test done and it took 81 hours to receive my result despite them advertising 48 hours. I contacted them three times via live chat. They have no phone number and you need to wait in queue for 30 min to 3 hours every time you use the live chat. Each time they just said they’d escalate and assured me they’d contact me via email before my flight.

Obviously my result was not ready for my flight and no one even contacted me back, so I had to find another clinic to do a PCR test 6 hours before my flight (side note: Hasu Diagnostics in Slough is great and got me my result in under 3 hours on a Sunday morning for £199, which is expensive but fair for the turnaround time). If I didn’t go get a PCR test from another clinic, I would’ve had to miss my flight because of Collinson.

Collinson said they would process a refund for me but won’t cover any additional costs I’ve incurred as a result of their delay. So they’ve caused me to spend way more money than I would’ve if I had just gone somewhere else for my test and also a lot more stress.

I would look elsewhere for a COVID testing because I think they accept more bookings than they can process in a reasonable time, leading to constant delays.

Update: I updated to 2 stars because they ended up reaching out after I left a review on trustpilot and compensated me for the extra test I had to get. I still wouldn’t recommend though because of the huge headache this caused and lack of communication beforehand.
