We spent 2 weeks in Paris and Spain, with this dinner planned to be our big splurge. At €500 for dinner for 2 it is not something one does with regularity. While the experience was enjoyable, it was vastly overshadowed by a feeling of terrible regret due to the price relative to what is provided for that price, especially the wine pairing which was €100 each for approximately the equivalent of one large 9 oz glass of wine. In addition, the chef was overheard multiple times scolding his sous chef well within earshot. It made for an entertaining evening but overall only 3 stars. The high calibre of the serving staff was refreshing.

Wow, amazing food and atmosphere here. We didn’t make a reservation on a Saturday night in Lisbon (big mistake) but were able to get a table at 9:45 to eat here. We had a lovely cocktail at the bar first and then feasted! The food was incredible and the service was great. The only thing was that it took quite a while in between starter and main and we were very hungry by this point but still 5 stars. Recommend 100% for people who like good food 😋

Unfortunately, a bad experience, the food was not at a high level, certainly not at a level that justifies their own Michelin star. The waiters were very pleasant, but not knowledgeable about the dishes they served. All in all, a nice restaurant, nothing more than that.

Unfortunately I cannot think of a worse way to spend $400 and 4.5 hours. Not sure how this meal took so long, I was literally suffering at the end of it. The first bread course and the strawberry dessert was good. The snacks were passable. That’s about it. They substituted my oyster with one speckle of roasted cauliflower. Most of the meal had flavors and ingredients that did not jive together well. And the next to last dessert, a combination of chocolate, pecorino cheese and mushroom broth left the most offensive taste in my mouth. Really did not get much of a story regarding the chef’s journey either, which was supposed to be tie the meal together.  This place is a skip!

We went here on our last night in Lisbon and here’s our take-

1. The restaurant was warm with very little aeration so at times we felt uncomfortable with what felt like stale air. This is the case in a lot of places - restaurants and hotels- if you’re not seated near the door or outside.
2. The menu was unclear, as what was emailed ahead of time did not match what was offered. Even though pairing throughout the experience isn’t required, you’ll still be charged the pairing price. There were more options available than presented at the time of the meal.
3. The first “moment” and ice cream were the only 2 of the 11 moments we enjoyed. The white fish was overcooked and dry despite being bathed in a consommé afterward. The main dish was basically…tacos. The strawberry dessert was almost rock-solid and we had a hard time cutting through it. However, the countryside cocktail was  delicious.
4. This was meant to be a journey that appeals to emotions by explaining each moment as it related to the chef’s life experiences, however that was very difficult to connect and appreciate because some of the team- not all- spoke too quickly.
5. Once you’ve finished your experience and didn’t opt for drinks or coffee, it took a while for the team to settle the check, so you sit there for a bit trying to get going.
