During my visit in the city, I was searching for a great Polish restaurant offering authentic food. After some research, I came across this restaurant with excellent reviews. Despite not having a reservation, they kindly found a spot for me by the window, which turned out to be the perfect setting.

I decided to go all out and ordered three courses. I started with the tartare, which was absolutely delightful. The freshness of the meat was evident, and although it was a small portion, the flavors were exceptional. For the main course, I chose the duck. Everything about the dish was flawless. The flavors were outstanding, the preparation was perfect, and the cranberry sauce was a highlight. I concluded my meal with a serving of apple pie, which, once again, was faultless.

This was easily the best dining experience I had during my stay in Krakow. Highly recommended!

Yesterday evening, I had the pleasure of dining at Pierwszy Stopień Restaurant with my close friends, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience.

The cuisine here is truly exceptional. The atmosphere, enriched with beautiful house plants, exudes a sense of coziness and harmony. The green accents in the interior design make the space feel warm and welcoming, like dining in a tranquil home.

The presentation of the dishes was not only creative but also added to the overall dining experience. One of the highlights of the evening was the seasonal lemonades—each one a delightful surprise. The rich fruit purées of mango, cherry, and sour cherry (offered as three distinct lemonades) were bursting with flavor and made for an exciting conversation at the table.

The steak was perfectly cooked—soft, tender, and full of flavor—while the accompanying vegetables were expertly prepared. The cream soup was a standout with its spicy and pleasantly rich taste. The chicken skewers, with their unique presentation, were both flavorful and satisfying.

A special mention goes to the pork ribs in sauce. They were absolutely incredible—so tender and soft that the meat practically melted in my mouth. The sauce complemented the dish perfectly, adding a delicious depth of flavor that made it an absolute standout.

Latte was tasty and amazing.

For dessert, we indulged in the chocolate cake and the apple charlotte. Both were simply divine and the perfect way to end an already wonderful meal.

I highly recommend Pierwszy Stopień Restaurant to anyone looking for a warm, inviting atmosphere paired with exceptional food. However, it’s worth noting that reserving a table in advance is a good idea, as this lovely spot is sure to attract many visitors.

A restaurant that stands out in a crowded field for all the right reasons.

A very warm welcome, thankfully lucky to be found a table due to a cancellation as booking is recommended.

We were pleased on all fronts as we had a wonderful meal, that was tasty, great value and in a lovely setting.

We had ribs that fell from the bone, and duck with cherry consume that had flavours erupting in every mouthful.

Delicious high quality food with great service and lovely vibes.

The battered oyster mushrooms were crispy on the outside and mouth wateringly satisfying to bite through on the inside.

Also loved the beef tartar! Great texture and flavour.

Just a bit on the pricey side but it’s worth it!

A very good option to sample modern takes on traditional Polish cuisine,  the place is warm and welcoming,  the service attentive and professional.  We  decided to share the dishes , which is a good option for sampling the food. Everything was tasty , I also recommend sampling the cocktails.  The place can be busy, so reservations are required.
