An Unforgettable Galápagos Experience

Our stay at Pikaia Lodge was simply incredible! Perched on a volcanic crater, the views were stunning, and the eco-luxurious accommodations were perfect. The staff was incredibly accommodating and caring, treating us like royalty from the moment we arrived including the front desk ladies.

Our naturalist guide, Mario was unbelievable—so knowledgeable about the adventure and with us privately the whole time. I had an incident where I lost my balance and hit my face on a rock, which caused my nose to start bleeding. Luckily, my sunglasses protected me. The guide had a first-aid kit with him everywhere and managed to stop the bleeding right away. The yacht staff was incredibly caring, providing me with lots of ice packs to ease the swelling. Upon our return to the hotel, the doctor came to our room immediately to provide further care.

We enjoyed delicious breakfasts and lunches on the yacht during our excursions, adding to the overall luxurious experience. Roman, the hotel manager, was always approachable whenever we returned from excursions, with the staff offering us wet towels and refreshing exotic fruit juices—such a thoughtful touch!

A special highlight was Stefan, the cruise director, who surprised me with a birthday wish in the marine life video from our snorkeling adventure—a truly memorable and personal touch!

We had amazing wildlife encounters, from penguins and sea lions to giant tortoises and marine iguanas. The yacht trips were smooth, and every detail was handled perfectly.

The food was delicious, showcasing the best of Ecuadorian cuisine, and I even got a special birthday cake!

Pikaia Lodge truly offers a once-in-a-lifetime experience in the Galápagos. Highly recommend!

This place was truly incredible. We recently stayed and the hotel was virtually empty (came during off-season but there was only 2 other groups staying on the property). This turned what is already a amazing place into our own personal resort (which was really special). The staff were all very friendly and accommodating (anytime we left or arrived back on site they were waiting for us with a hot towel and a cold drink in the parking lot)! The views from the rooms and the pool were simply astonishing and watching the sun-set of over the Galapagos each night from this location was simply perfect. Executive Chef Christian and his team ensured that each meal we ate was better than the last - would highly recommend his personal 7 course tasting menu (paired with Ecuadorian wines). Some of the best food I have eaten in my entire life (see pictures).
While we were staying here we went scuba diving 2 days and then did the land excursion. There were wild giant tortoises all over the property which you could hike up too and take pictures with! There is a short loop around the hotel and we say 5+ just hanging out on the path!

There are too many amazing people at Pikaia Lodge to mention them all even though they deserve to mentioned. From the moment we reached out to Pikaia Lodge reservations to book 10 of us on a bucket trip to the Galapagos our experience was incredible. Landing in the airport and being taken to a private lounge while the staff arranged immigration and collection of our luggage was just the start. At every point during our stay someone from Pikaia was on hand to help but never felt intrusive. The location, the facilities the food all were amazing. Seeing the Galapagos from Pikaia lodge’s private day yacht (also incredible staff) meant being often the only people on one of the Galapagos incredible islands. The nature guides (ours was Xavier) could not have been more knowledgeable or accommodating. It is true no picture can do this place justice nor can you ever explain the lack of fear of the animals.

We had an amazing stay at Pikaia Lodge. Rooms, staff, spa and food were all amazing. Our guide Marco was brilliant and was great with our kids. The yacht experiences were mind blowing, getting so close to nature was something we will never forget. Highly recommend a visit to Pikaia Lodge and the Galapagos.

Exceptional place with outstanding 5-star service from everyone including reception, dining and all excursion guides drivers and facilitators. Dream vacation!  Highly recommend!!
