The Best Place to stay in the Galapagos! Eddie and the staff gave us amazing service. The tents are big and very nice. The view is great and you feel like you are staying in the rainforest. The food was excellent. We went to all the islands and stayed at other resorts but everything we did on Isabella island was better and the other resorts felt like every resort that we have been to before. Scalesia is not like the others, if you love nature and amazing service this the place!

What a wonderful place!

The only hotel (that I know of) on Isabela that is not in town.

All rooms are tents that are from a safari company out of Africa. Wonderful ambiance and bathrooms are great. AC in the rooms.

Stayed there in July so that time of year it is constantly in the clouds at night.  It is up in the hills of Isabela.  That means, not necessarily rain but constant drizzle that makes it sound like it’s raining.  Excellent for sleeping.

The staff is VERY accommodating and will go above and beyond to make you comfortable. The food is excellent.

If ever going back to the Galapagos we will be staying there again.

OK, to be fair I am not exactly a jungle guy. That said, this place is really cool and unique.  You are in the jungle and there us no escaping it! The rooms are comfortable and uniquely designed to almost be elegant given surroundings.  The best part are the wonderful people working there! Thanks for making our stay so memorable.

A slice of paradise amongst Darwin naturalism.

Accommodations are South African Tents. While atmosphere was humid, the beds were comfortable with minimal bugs for 'glamping'.

Awakening daily to song birds, the lodge was well maintained with grounds affording a nice casual hike to observe unique bird/bug fauna.

Their chef is amazing. Food prepared fresh for each meal.

There could use more hooks in bathroom. Power outlet by beds vs a desk. Generator option to ensure power for water access.

Recommend white noise app for phone in case light sleeper. It's very peacefully quiet unless you get lucky to have a local confused rooster cawing at 3am, 4am, 5am, 530am, 6am every night. 🤷‍♂️🐓🔫

We just returned from our Ecuadorian honeymoon where we did 3 nights at Scalesia (followed by 2 nights at Finch Bay as a package) and wow! This place is wonderful! There was a wave of people during the 3 days, at times just us and another couple and then a tour of people, so it was pretty low key, quiet and tranquil. This spot is about 25 minutes from the city center so if you are looking for action be prepared for a little hike anywhere you want to go. For us, that was perfect! The activities were very well organized with the hotel team always prepared with food before we left, a small snack and juice when we arrived along with a hot towel, and beautiful dinners every evening. The manager on site, Javier, really goes above and beyond to make you feel at home and make sure you have everything you need (flashlights for walks, water, umbrellas, beach towels, etc). He truly made our trip extra special and we appreciated it so much.
Isabela island is very unique and we loved it. Everyone we talked to from the islands said the same and said it was the way Santa Cruz was 30 years ago. So glad we went off the beaten path a little to find this gem and experience this beautiful paradise!
