Small venue but enough space to not feel crowded, bar and food trucks were available that night. Pretty easy to see the performance from the raised bar area. The line moved fast after doors opened, drinks were reasonably priced. There is a decent amount of parking.

I've been going to HG for years. Great venue, great service workers, always clean and tidy. Their bathrooms are always kept nice and clean. Friendly staff and awesome acts. My husband actually proposed to me on stage here at a Finger Eleven concert, so I suppose I'm a little biased towards liking the place!

I’ve been going to higher ground for years , but I have to say I am very disappointed with how I was treated there this weekend by the security staff. I accidentally brought a bottle of water in my pocket to the venue, which I offered to throw out ,  security sniffed it and claimed it was alcohol and kicked me out of the venue after I had just bought a ticket to an event happening. All the staff in the room refused to listen to me and I was met with aggression to leave, they also would not give a refund. I feel targeted maybe because I’m a college student and sometimes they can be trouble but this was seriously lame of HG.

Great, first-time experience at Higher Ground to see Shovels & Rope.  The sound is great and there is a good selection of beers.

Parking was a slight troubling experience for such a highly-attended show. The parking lots are dark and there are warnings about parking in the wrong lot and risk of being towed. As an out-of-towner, this was my only concern.

Fantastic! Great sounds, amazing acoustics for a small space. Excellent service, no lines for restrooms, and lots of parking options close by.
