Beautiful spot & great service. Order up front and seat yourself. Prices were affordable and food was incredible. We ordered the egg sandwich and the steak & eggs.

Since my first week as a student at Middlebury, Haymakers has been my favorite place in town! The staff are always super friendly and welcoming and some of them know me by name (love when that happens). Best brunch and lunch in town and always has yummy vegetarian options! Coffee flavors are rotating and I don't think I've ever had a bad coffee from here. Love the atmosphere and looking out onto the creek as well. A great place to come in and get work done. A must try for anyone visiting Middlebury, and thank you Haymakers for some of the best memories and food!

This place is a truly beautiful gem in the heart of Middlebury. It is tucked away on Bakery Lane, so you might miss it, but if you know it’s there, you’ll find a perfect little spot with plenty of free parking right on the river. Inside, the staff are all amazing, friendly, welcoming and inclusive. The food and cafe drinks are always excellent, and the it’s the perfect spot to meet friends, do some quick work, or just linger and spend some peaceful moments enjoying the multi-level views of the Otter Creek. I can’t say enough about how wonderful they are! Hot tip: Get there early if you want the full selection of buns, because they’re so good they often sell out before the day is done!

The service here is top notch, and the food is DELICIOUS! Each bun is amazing, but lately I’ve been really enjoying the breakfast sandwiches. Their seasonal drinks are always fun and taste great. Can’t go wrong with lunch either, especially the specials! I’m so happy to live close to this gem!

The food, drinks, service, atmosphere, are all great- but what makes the whole experience special for me is their commitment to honoring and lifting up both local non-profits and worldwide human rights.

Dined here for Brunch at 11:30am.  Delicious savory buns that made for a nice breakfast sandwich, but it was on the small size and the egg was very well cooked (rubbery). We added bacon, which was delicious itself. We waited a long time for the breakfast sandwiches. Probably 25+ minutes. This spot is very popular with college students. Seating is difficult to find. We ended up finding a spot upstairs, which was a tough climb for an 87 old. Clear your own table at the end. The locale does not appear to be handicap accessible, with many stairs at the entrance and and a quite crowded "order and seat yourself" system. Perhaps midweek would be less chaotic.  It's open for breakfast and light lunch to 2pm.  Go early as menu items sell out. We will try another time.
