Had a wonderful lunch at small but cozy Bar Italia. We have started with appetizers: salmon tartare and caprese were excellent. For main course I have ordered Bolognese which was delicious.
Place gets crowded during lunch hours, expect that it will be a little noisy.

Fantastic dinning experience!  Owner came to table and mgr to ensure our perfect meal.  Great pasta.  We’ll be back

I used to love this place. Restaurant was empty. The assistant manager wouldn’t let us sit for a cappuccino at around 445 pm. Way too early for dinner anyway. And extremely rude. I don’t mind the fact that he didn’t let us sit. I do dislike his tone and hand gestures. Extremely ill-mannered. I will not be going there again.

Great food and drink, highly competent and experienced service, proper standards. Not the kind of place that will expect you to keep your used silverware between courses. We like coming here after chamber music recitals in the neighborhood.

One of our favorite places in new york city in the upper east side. Every time we visit the city, we have to go because the food is really good. The service is very nice and it's always good fun to see the people!!!!
