My friend and I went to the West Village location Apollo Bagels on a Saturday afternoon and the wait wasn't too bad, around 15 minutes. Really unique texture/flavor with their sourdough bagels, crusty outside with chewy inside and a little tang from the sourdough. I got the open-faced lox bagel on everything, while my friend opted for a bagel with their vegan cream cheese (great if you are lactose intolerant). The toppings were super fresh, flavorful and generous portion! We ate outside at the nearby park as it's more of a counter spot for pick-up (not much seating).

Really simple menu but they are just sticking to the things they are good at!

I think I’ve discovered the world’s best bagel—seriously. After a lifetime of searching, I finally found one that’s perfectly crunchy on the outside yet airy and fluffy on the inside. It’s light enough to devour two, yet sturdy enough to support layers of nova lox, fresh tomato, or a spread of cream cheese with olive oil. I may just consider moving into this bakery. Don’t miss out on this bagel palace!

One of New York’s best bagels. I got scallion cream cheese, cucumbers and red onions on mine. It was perfectly seasoned, and though I found the bread to be a bit too hard to bite, it was still an excellent bagel. Was it worth the hype? Yes definitely. Worth the 30 minutes wait? Maybe. Worth the price? Debatable. It’s definitely on the pricier side. But I’d recommend the experience!
Service was also a 10/10, the waiting line was well organised and once I ordered the bagel was served almost immediately. And everyone was super nice!

During my entire stay in NY this was my absolute favourite bagel stop! The entire combination of the everything bagel with the salmon, cream cheese and the fresh dill and oil just made it extremely delicious. I wish I could take this bagel back to Europe with me ;)

Is this place worth the hype? Yes. Is it worth the price? Maybe… Their hand-rolled bagel with lox salmon is probably the best bagel sandwich I’ve ever had, no lie. The everything bagel is extremely tasty, so fresh and yummy, and the smoked salmon is premium quality. However, $15 for a bagel is on the higher end in NY, so probably not a place I’d frequent often. I’d probably a cheaper place like Tompkins Square Bagels or somewhere else on most days. But still glad to try it, was an amazing experience! NYC bagels are definitely built different.
