My stay at The Carley Hotel was simply magical! From the moment I arrived, the service was exceptional, making both me and my dog feel incredibly welcome. The staff showed us special care and attention, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The food was another highlight! Don’t miss out on the bagel at breakfast – it’s absolutely delicious and a must-try! Every meal was thoughtfully prepared, and I was charmed by the variety and quality of the dishes.
The hotel’s atmosphere is warm and elegant, with charming decor that creates the perfect setting to relax. I stayed here on my birthday, and I truly felt special with all the little gestures from the staff.
I highly recommend The Carley Hotel to anyone looking for a unique experience in New York City, especially for those traveling with pets. I will definitely return on my future visits to the city!

Beautiful Hotel , clean and comfortable.  Staff is attentive. Location just off Madison. Great during the day, but nothing open nearby at night.  Rooms are expensive and I'm still undecided if 4x the price of a Hyatt or Intercontinental gets you 4x the amenities and service. Most likely not.   If you have money to burn or want a romantic weekend- stay here.  Otherwise, stay somewhere else and have enough left over to do some shopping and eating out!

Our experience at The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel, was far from the luxury promised. Despite the hefty price tag of $6,000 for a three-night stay, the service and amenities fell short.

The reception area was small, consistently crowded, and lacked warmth or a personal touch. The bathroom was shockingly tiny—comparable to an airplane lavatory. The toiletries provided were insufficient for even one person, let alone two. When we requested additional shampoo and soap, it took over 35 minutes to receive them, causing us to be late for our dinner reservation.

To make matters worse, basic services such as luggage assistance were not provided, something I’ve never encountered, even at mid-tier hotels like Marriott.

Overall, The Carlyle failed to deliver a five-star experience. I would advise anyone considering this hotel to think carefully before booking.

The drinks were superb, and the ambiance was elegant, but the staff was unacceptable. My wife and I stopped in for a few glasses of wine, but since we were too early to eat there—just a few minutes before four—we stepped out briefly for a bite nearby. When we returned to the bar, despite the space being far from busy, the doorman—or whoever manages seating—rudely asked me to leave, citing a supposed waitlist. I expect a level of service that matches the atmosphere. This isn’t a club in Meatpacking. Terrible Experience at The Carlyle Hotel
I stayed at The Carlyle for two nights, paying $1,000 per night, expecting luxury and excellent service. Instead, I was met with disappointment and frustration. Upon checkout, I was charged $35 for using a PC adapter. When I questioned the charge, the front desk claimed it was "hotel policy" but couldn’t produce any visible documentation. Instead, I was told there was a card in the room with a QR code explaining the policy—an absurd and unclear system for such an expensive hotel.
As someone who has traveled extensively and stayed in countless hotels, I’ve never encountered such a petty charge for something as basic as an adapter. To make matters worse, the staff’s attitude dramatically shifted the moment I questioned the charge. Their customer service became dismissive and rude, making it clear that asking questions about charges was unwelcome.
The entire experience felt like a scam—nickel-and-diming guests for every little thing and treating them poorly if they dare to ask for clarity. If you value good service and transparency, I strongly advise staying far away from this hotel. Save yourself the headache and choose a place that treats its guests with respect and fairness.
