BEST shrimp n grits I’ve had in years. The owner was super kind and squeezed us in for a table. The entire staff is very friendly and down to earth. Wonderful vibes all around, will be back!

New Location as of Spring 2024!

I was a little disappointed to find that the new location still has a cute outdoor courtyard, but it is not the larger one with a big fountain as seen in older pictures.

However, the food was SO GOOD I wasn’t really bothered. The Shrimp and Grits alone made my trip to New Orleans worth it! Would definitely go again

Definitely worth a visit. Their chicken and waffles are the best I've ever had. I love that they used roasted chicken rather than fried and the cajun flavor with maple syrup complimented each other so well. We also enjoyed our cocktails and the atmosphere.

1st brunch. Literally have second reservations at 1pm. Y'all pray for me.

Great atmosphere but I happened to visit on a busy Friday afternoon (the weekend of the Taylor Swift Eras Tour), so there was a bit of a wait for a table as well as for food. The cafe was either understaffed or frazzled from the crowds. We never got menus to order, but luckily we had looked at the menu in the window. I had the Cafe Amelie Eggs Benedict. The serving portion was fair for the Benedict but a little scant on the potatoes. The hollandaise really didn't have much flavor and half the English muffin was so toasted it was inedible. It was too busy and I was in a rush, so I didn't say anything about the food. It was probably just too much of a busy day to really make a good impression, but I probably wouldn't recommend this spot when you could visit other local places.
