We went during happy hour which was a good choice given the overall prices. Overall I don’t think I would come back, but wouldn’t say the food was bad, mostly underwhelming.

We had the PETITE ENDIVE SALAD, which was quite strong and bitter. Think strong and very grassy. I also found that adding the smoked Gouda did little to sweeten things. Would not order.

We had the prawns too but I found that they were quite unevenly cooked. Some bites were raw and others very dry. They were served with a Gouda sauce or what seemed like a red pepper guouda sauce. Also don’t know if I’d order them again.

Next we had the Pao , bread order, they came with a truffle dip which was fire - and the breads were perfect and similar to how I had them in Rio. Definitely worth it. However the sweeter sauce was basically smuckers watered down with some honey.

We also had the noodles and they were quite sour, think Tom yum soup. However the noodles they used were really yummy. The portion is large, however they really skimp you on the clams and prawns. I’d prefer more clams and less prawns maybe switch for shrimp. Overall good but very pricey for the value.

Finally we had the pork fried rice and it was very very weak - this is some very basic fried rice. Would not order.

Overall for a top or up and coming restaurant, I think it fell quite flat. Unfortunately a victim of the bar and the hype.

I had a wonderful experience celebrating my birthday with my parents at Brasero.  I picked this restaurant because it was named one of 10 best new restaurants in America according to Robb Report.  After my visit I can see why they got such a high ranking.
All the dishes that we ordered were perfectly cooked and nicely presented.  In particular, I was very impressed with how seafood was expertly prepared from prawns to mussels, mahi mahi and swordfish.
The service was very attentive and our waiter was very knowledgeable about wines and cocktails, and gave very good recommendations.

Toy cannot go wrong! Everything was great, particularly the appetizers. The sweet potato was our favorite. I don't like sweet potatoes, but this one was something else. The grilled oyster was delicious, too. It didn't look like it was grilled, but I have no complaints; it was tasty.

We absolutely loved Brasero! We went for an anniversary celebration and they made us feel so special - acknowledged our anniversary right away, brought us a free glass of bubbly, and included a sparkler on dessert! The food was 10/10 - flavorful but not too heavy. The swordfish was a perfect size portion and the sauce was tangy in the best way. The pea salad was also a star. Every dessert was fruit forward which was refreshing. We need to go back to try the rest of the menu!

Sublime food and services!  Similar to Leña Brava in Westloop, but way easier parking.  Wood-fire cooking adds amazing depth of flavor.  Brazilian fried quail, grilled prawns, roasted sweet potato, whole grilled branzino, grilled young chicken... all delicious!  Singani Mami, Moolah, Caipirinha - yum!
