Went last night before a show at the Salt Shed, we sat at the bar for two and could easily squeeze in! It’s a small and super cute space, great bar, cocktail selection, and  and food menu. The bartender Damien was awesome and made us drinks on and off of the menu. They were *so* good, and well crafted right before us. :) We ordered zucchini fries and the salad with chicken, can’t wait to try even more bites next time. We heard the dirty rice and bread are amazing, too! Definitely stop in and check this place out. You won’t be disappointed! Make a reservation ahead of time if you want to make sure you can get in. ❤️

Charming. Perfect for a date or quiet conversation over a meal. I'm sure the space is much more lively on summer days when the patio is in use.
The dishes were unique and tasted great.
They're vegetarian friendly.

First of all the ambience is great because the music selection was 10/10 and the interior design was really pretty. All of our food was good, and I’d say that the corn ribs impressed me because I don’t really like corn, but the restaurant actually managed to make corn taste absolutely amazing. (Also I’d like to apologize because looking back I should have tipped more. Some super nice people paid for part of our bill, so I tipped based on the lower new price we paid, which was wrong.)

Dine in, party of two.
This place is amazing, been twice in their first two months open. Small but mighty menu.

Apps:
Cornbread - heavily fried but tasty, really fun spreads come with it
Corn ribs - 10/10 these have a great sauce and are a generous portion ordered both visits
Thrice fried fries - 10/10 best fries I've ever had get these or get em with the burger

Mains:
Pizza - 9/10 - we got the rotating white and it was really well balanced between ricotta, crust, and arugula. Really good, just thought the bottom of the crust could be a little more done
📸 Cheeseburger - husband ordered and really liked it, great deal and quality, recommend!

Stumbling upon 1308 Chicago feels like finding a secret foodie hideout. Its menu might be small, but boy, does it have some major taste-game going on. You know what they say, size isn't everything!

The place itself is snug and warm, just like sitting in a good friend's living room. It's all about that intimate vibe. But it has an outdoor space so I'm looking forward to coming back when the weather is nicer.

Let's talk about the food. The cooking here is clinical and the food pass let's you see right into a pristine kitchen. It's clear that every dish is cooked with a lot of love and serious skill. And the pasta? Divine. That creamy ricotta they serve it with? Heavenly.

But let's not forget about those unique corn ribs - they're like nothing you've ever tasted before. A bit of crunch, a bit of sweetness - seriously, you'll be dreaming about them for days.

Now, because it's such a small spot with a skeleton crew, you might find the service to be a little slow at times. But honestly, it's a minor hiccup. The cocktail aren't anything to chat about at 16 a pop. But the beer is wildly affordable.

It just gives you more time to enjoy the atmosphere and savor every mouthwatering bite.

In short, 1308 Chicago is my new gem to explore while supporting a black & women owned local restaurant!
