This beach is very much worth checking out. You get to swim and see the Chicago skyline, it’s great. There’s also a lot of old brick and concrete dumped in the water towards the end of the beach, it’s at-least a couple decades old so it’s pretty cool checking out those rocks and finding old inscriptions from a different era.

This beach was so beautiful!! It was family friendly, clean, and the lifeguards were on top of their game! There was food around and a bathroom too. I also like how the beach is quiet and is connected to a park. I had no complaints. I loved it so much and I can’t wait to go back.

Great central location within museum campus. Soldier Fiels, Adler Planetarium & Shedd Aquarium all within walking distance.  Outdoor parking lot as well as street parking on premises.  Great area for getting your walk on or just spending a relaxing day at the beach. Concession stand & restaurant on premises in case you don't feel like packing a snack. Lots of park benches & grassy areas for you to relax & take in the sights. Plenty of bathrooms on premises. Get there early & make a day of it, there's plenty to do at this gem of a location.

This is the best beach. I come to this one all the time. Pretty secluded, not full of people, always space to sit feet away from people. The only bad thing is that when there’s a concert in the back, they literally close off the end part of the beach with a fence so we have to move to the other side of the fence which is so dumb but whatever.
