I was extremely unsatisfied with my stay. This is not what I expected from a Hyatt hotel; I’ve stayed in cleaner motel rooms than this. The rooms are dirty and need a lot of maintenance/renovations. The walls had visible patched up paint all over the room. The carpet appeared filthy and there were dirty stains on the curtains and bed skirts. All the furniture had chunks of wood chipped off and the surface appeared greasy but we later realized that was just because the polish was missing from large parts of the wood surface. The AC did not cool down the room and the temperature varied widely despite keeping the thermostat at the same temperature. The only thing that was clean was the bathroom but the bathtub floor was creaky and soft in places that made it feel unstable to stand on. I want to make it clear that the housekeeping staff did a great job at cleaning the room to the best of their abilities and all the staff was extremely friendly. This is a management issue, and employees were great. The rooms simply need to be renovated with new furnishings, carpet and curtains, etc. We called the front desk to see if another room was available but we were told that we would have to check out of our room the next day at 11 am and then wouldn’t be able to check back in to a different room until 3 pm. That was too inconvenient for us so we declined that offer. I’m extremely disappointed with my stay especially as this is supposed to be a 4 star hotel and it was certainly not cheap to stay at for more than $300 per night. I will highly rethink staying another Hyatt property.

My stay in Hawaii was for four nights. I originally could only book a room for a couple nights on the city side with points as that was the limit allowed that time. I learned later that there is some noise issue from construction on that side. The hotel manager helped moving my room to the front of the hotel with better view and less noise. After I arrived and stayed couple nights, more rooms opened up and I was able to book a couple more nights with points. It ended up being two separate hotel bookings and manager Hana and the receptionist lady went a great length to help me get the best room available despite limited availability I had from using the points system. I really appreciate them taking the time to help me when they could easily choose not to help me.

Update: turns out our room shares the wall with two elevators that serves forty floors so imagine the frequency. If I were to guess there are about 80-160 of these rooms assuming same floor configurations in this hotel. That’s a lot of people not getting their sleep! It’s like the sound of train or airplane fly by every time an elevator comes through. Ear plugs won’t help. I tried. Breakfast was horrible too. $43 per person buffet and the food was not fresh, over salted and selection was poor. Needless to say we checked out after one night and moved to a different hotel on the strip. Best decision ever.

They put us right next to the elevators, and the rooms aren’t insulated enough that you can hear the elevators roaring by every few seconds. Little things they could have done was to reinforce the gaps in the door, but they didn’t so you can even see the light from the hall way. Impossible to sleep, and we have two kids. The rooms are old with beat up furniture and the city view faces a large construction crane. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. This is only my first night here, and I’m already regretting. The website pictures are deceiving. Don’t stay here. Pretty sure the door is crooked 😂 The clock is also incredibly bright. I’m way past my bedtime. Between the elevator rumbling, the lighting effects from the door and the clock, I’m going to need a vacation after this vacation. Google AI is failing at picking up the sound complaints. I’m not the only one complaining about the lack of insulation.

I am writing this review to let everyone know the ordeal we have dealt with. I am here on vacation in Hawaii with my husband, our 8 month old baby, my sister, and my brother in law. We are stayed at the Hyatt hotel from Jan 11-16,2025
Where do I start? Ever since the first day we got here we have had issues with our lock on our door and our card. They attempted fixing the doors for 2 days before finally they put us in a new room. The manager was not very accommodating and only refunded us our hotel fees. On January 13th we had bought food and were planning to head to the beach but we spent a bunch of time in the lobby because we got locked out of our room because the door wouldn't open. The amount of money and points that we spent at this hotel I would have expected better customer service. 0/10 do not recommend I expected better from you Hyatt.

The hotel's location is unbeatable, just a stone's throw away from the beach. The proximity to the beach made it easy to spend leisurely days soaking up the sun.

The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, providing a perfect blend of comfort and style. With plenty of natural light. The private balcony offered stunning views of the ocean, making it a great spot for morning coffee or evening relaxation.

The staff were exceptional. Every member I encountered was friendly, attentive, and genuinely eager to ensure my stay was enjoyable. From the front desk to housekeeping, their commitment to outstanding service was evident. They provided great recommendations for local attractions and dining, which enhanced my experience.

The only complaint is the noisy from the road. I hear the engine of Harley Davidson almost every night….
