It was okay for what it was. For the price, one would think you would have tubs in the rooms that are higher than your hips when seated, and a spa pool that is heated. The fireplace was inoperative due to a missing part. To get to the gym there is no way to get there besides walking through an eatery and the spa. I will say the door people were great and super helpful, the food was tasty and generous and the area is nice. Waitstaff could be friendlier. The location is within walking distance to very nice restaurants. The rooms are otherwise super nice, clean, and decorated very well.

The Alfond Inn is truly a beautiful historic experience. The architectural and artistic focus throughout the hotel, bring together a wonderful atmosphere. This is truly not a hotel stay, but an experience as there are always events planned, amazing cuisines to try, and exciting conversations to indulge in. The chefs create such wonderful pieces with their meals, that they will certainly curate to your taste buds. Danielle and the rest of the front desk staff ensure that all of your accommodations are in place prior to your arrival. She was considerate, kind, and funny! We had a blast just speaking to her and her team! I felt like I was being treated as a real, warmhearted human and not just another customer to the hotel. I definitely recommend your stay with The Alfond Inn in your near future!

Had a nice day here over New Year’s.

However, I’m really disappointed with our experience after checking out. I left a pair of earrings in our room that my mom had just given me for Christmas. I realized on my way to the airport and called well before check-out. I knew exactly where they were too. I was told they would follow up. I had a missed call from the hotel when I was on my flight and called back when I landed. From there, no one would help me or follow up. I left multiple messages for housekeeping and with the front desk, and no one ever followed up and I never got my earrings back. They weren’t even worth that much, but had great sentimental value. Very disappointed with the lack of assistance and customer service.

Rooms are nice. Pillows are horrible and very hard. The staff is nice but not competent at all. At least not at the level of the prices charged which are on par with luxury hotels. Food in the dining room is terrible. We had some guests at the restaurant and no one could even finish their meals : it was so bad!

The room and location were excellent, but the best part was the staff.  The gentlemen at the door were extremely kind and helpful, and Danielle at the front desk was incredible!  Danielle was caring and went out of her way to make sure that we were comfortable despite knowing nothing of our situation.  Danielle was the highlight of our stay and a reminder that exceptional customer service still exists.  Thank you!
