We were in Miami for a few days and wanted to try yardbird, I never heard of it so didn’t know what to expect but boy was I blow away! We started off with drinks, I got the turmeric tonic, it was so refreshing and delicious. Then for the appetizers we got fried greet tomatoes and the deviled eggs. We weren’t too fond of the eggs but the tomatoes were so good. For the entree, I ordered the shrimp and grits, I was disappointed because it was kind of cold and didn’t taste like i expected it to. My sister got the fried chicken and waffles, my brother got the chicken sandwich, both of which they enjoyed. I got to try some of his fries, they were perfectly cooked, some of the best I’ve had. When we were done they brought out a big plate of dessert for us to try, very nice touch. We even got to meet the head chef, Francisco, who was very sweet and kind. Overall a great experience!

This is a great place to visit if you are in the Miami area. We started with the green tomato stackers. They are green tomatoes stacked with pork belly, pimento cheese, and jam. I ordered the fried chicken, and my wife ordered the shrimp and grits. The chicken is made to order and delicious. The pieces were huge, and I couldn't even finish half. Our service was excellent, too.

I enjoyed both the great food but also the amazing service that contributed greatly to our experience. Our server Kanika went above and beyond to help us feel welcome and took care of every need. I believe this is a testimony of great management and leadership of this institute.

It was overall good.
We ordered their signature fried chicken, it was pretty good, crispy and inside juice. I would say 10/10.
Their biscuits and fried tomatoes should not be missed as an appetizer.
The service was overall pretty slow, we waited 45 mins to have our main courses and even though we asked them to bring kid's main course with appetizers they brought with our main courses. the people at the front desk were not nice.

Yardbird is a fantastic restaurant specializing in traditional Southern American cuisine, and our experience there was highly enjoyable. We visited twice during our stay, and both visits left us satisfied with the food, atmosphere, and service. The first time, we dined inside, while the second visit allowed us to enjoy the outdoor seating. Both settings were comfortable and welcoming, each offering its own charm.

The service was impeccable on both occasions. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and punctual, ensuring we felt well cared for throughout the meal. The portions were incredibly generous, and the dishes were rich in flavor, embodying the signature spices and warmth of Southern cooking. Following the recommendations of both the menu and our server, we tried a variety of dishes, and nearly everything we tasted was outstanding. The flavors were bold and authentic, perfectly capturing the essence of Southern comfort food.

We paired our meal with some excellent beer, which complemented the dishes nicely. The restrooms were clean, spacious, and well-maintained, adding to the overall positive impression of the restaurant.

While most of the food was exceptional, the one dish that fell slightly short of expectations was the Ribeye Steak. It wasn’t necessarily bad, but it seemed out of place in a restaurant so focused on Southern-style cooking. In hindsight, it may have been a poor choice on my part, as the menu is much better suited to dishes that highlight traditional Southern flavors.

Although Yardbird is not inexpensive, I found the prices fair for the quality of food, generous portions, and excellent service provided. Overall, it’s a place I would recommend without hesitation for anyone wanting to experience authentic Southern cuisine. It’s well worth a visit, and I would gladly return to try even more of their incredible menu.
