A small and cozy cafe that has little seating indoors but is totally worth the wait. The pastelitos and the sandwich we ordered were so good. I wish I could have brought one home for all my family to try. I’d highly recommend this spot for brunch or lunch!
Service was great too - they gave us recommendations based on our needs and were very accommodating.

I have been to both the Miami shores location and this coral gables location. Both are fantastic and have great consistency. My mom is an older Cuban woman that is difficult to impress when it comes to eating out, and she loved the place. Her cafecito was perfect as well as my iced cafe con leche with almondmilk. Her cuban sandwich was also flawless. I got eggs with toast and they were able to cater to my dairy intolerance and omit the butter. I look forward to coming here again!

El madurito sandwich is where it’s at. Delicious! The plantain with the pork, so good.

My favorite hidden gem for delicious food and lattes. I love the vibe, customer service and decor. A must go if you’re in Coral Gables.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. We waited 30 minutes for a table, which was fine, but things went downhill fast. We were seated at an extremely uncomfortable table, so we politely asked our waiter, Xavier, if we could move to a nearby table for four that was about to open. His response? A rude "NO," saying we’d have to go back on the list and wait another 30 minutes to switch tables.

Reluctantly, we stayed where we were, but then things got worse. When our food finally arrived, only 3 out of the 4 sandwiches we ordered were brought to the table. When we brought this up, Xavier blamed us, insisting that he had repeated the order and it was our fault he didn’t write it down. No apology, no attempt to make things right—just pure deflection and attitude.

At this point, we were already disappointed and didn’t even want to order the missing sandwich. Hoping to speak with the manager, we asked the barista (a redhead who was making coffee) who we could talk to. Shockingly, she told us that Xavier was the manager. How can someone with such rude and dismissive behavior hold that position?

As we were finishing our food, I overheard the redheaded barista at the coffee bar say, "THEY CAN LEAVEEEE," which was beyond unprofessional and disrespectful. To top it all off, as I was leaving, I asked for a plastic cup, and she threw it at me.

Xavier and red head barista provided terrible service and if I was the owner I would rethink my staffing situation. If your goal is to serve great food but have terrible customer service then you're doing a great job.

This experience was absolutely appalling. The lack of professionalism, the rudeness of the staff, and the outright disrespect were unacceptable. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
