Incredible and I hope they stick around to teach us all of Mala!
Friend and I met up here to catch up amongst all the spice and numbness.
The mushroom fries had their very own cumin rub and it had a nice crispiness with a layered flavored.
Wings were equally great. Seriously the rub does it!
Great beef noodle soup and the hit has to be the Dan Dan noodles. The Dan Dan had layers of flavor and our guy mixed it perfectly table side for us.
Definitely will go back!
It was so good that I picked up mall tofu for to go.

We loved everything about this place! Everything is so good, especially the sauce for the dumplings on chili oil. Please bottle this sauce! The mapo tofu can get spicy but it's all the good numbing spice! Next we want to try the mala chicken wings and the fried mushrooms! Kevin and his staff are impeccable in their service!

Unfortunately not the best experience for us. Our biggest complaint was that the food was missing that level of spice and numbing you typically get with this cuisine. We had the Dan Dan noodles and ma po tofu and both were very bland and one-note and both quite similar in our opinion. The ma po sauce was also way too gelatinous, not a great texture. The cucumber bean curd starter was nice, but overall I think if you are craving Szechuan you are better off heading to San Gabriel. We would like to note that the hospitality was top notch and the atmosphere inside is great.

The service, the atmosphere, the fresh flavors of Mala class is a 10/10!

I went there with some friends with two young kids, they thoroughly enjoyed the food as much as we did.

Some must try dishes are : the mala wings, beef noodle soup, and mushroom fries.

My husband and I been to MalaClass a couple times already, (the first time was a soft opening) I never had Szechuan food before I just saw some pictures and I though.."it looks good and spicy" I was amazed by the flavors, chili and different textures of food like the Mushrooms Fries and the Fried Tofu , everything is delicious.
I personally Love restaurants with their own personality and Mala Class is on my favorites list 😋
