A delicious neighborhood food heaven. We regularly get the Chicken Licken (kid friendly), Spicy Chicken Sando (has a little kick but not really spicy), and Trips Tripple (pork shoulder, tri tip, chicken with side salad). But this night we changed it up and because it was Sunday, went with the prime rib (comes with creamed spinach and horseradish cream), garlic noodles, chicken cabbage salad, and our favorite- Brussels sprouts.  Everything was delicious and we are already craving it again. We were too full for dessert :(

An outstanding restaurant that lives up to the hype. The pork shoulder is truly to die for — it was one of the best dishes I’ve ever tasted and alone worth the price of the dinner. The St. Louis ribs were outstanding (though not quite as good as the pork shoulder), and the other dishes (sausage, butter mochi, goddess salad) were very good though probably not their reason for staying in business. The atmosphere is cute and tasteful, and the prices aren’t bad for such good food. The only downside was that the quality of service was not ideal — our table wasn’t completely clean, we weren’t served in a prompt way, and the server wasn’t very friendly. But that won’t stop us from coming back.

We came to Spinning Bones on a Sunday at 2 pm. There was no wait which was great. This was our first time and we were pleasantly surprised! The food is fresh, beautiful, and delicious.
We started with the corn fritters - crispy and clean with a strawberry sauce. We would like them better with a Japanese mayo/jalapeno or something savory as the fritters themselves are sweet but they are still delicious. We also got the crispy brussel sprouts which were REALLY good. Nice and crunchy with crispy onions on top with a salty aspect.
Everyone really enjoyed their main entrees. We shared a Rainbow Rice Bowl which was very tasty and fresh. The flavor was heightened by adding sriracha to give it a little kick. We also shared a veggie burger with added jalapeno's. It was very good. I would've liked to add avocado to it but it was delicious regardless. It comes with Japanese potato salad which is very good as well - extremely creamy. The veggie burger was moist and hearty. The added jalapeno's helped bring it up a notch. The bun was soft and the condiments paired very well together.
The ribs are tender and the bbq sauce is flavorful. The Japanese sesame coleslaw was sooo good! I must try to copy it!
The DESSERTS! We did the coconut mochi butter cake, chocolate peanut butter oatmeal sea salt tart, and the special Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookie sundae. They were all three so good we couldn't rate any of them better than the other! You are not going wrong with ordering desserts here!

Spinning Bones left a lot to be desired. Upon arrival, the waitress was literally eating at the door and acted annoyed that we showed up, which set a sour tone from the start. It took nearly 15 minutes just to get asked for our drinks, despite there only being about six parties in the whole place. Not exactly the kind of service you’d expect at a so-called “Bib Gourmand” establishment. For lunch, we ordered the salmon, double Dutch, and Brussels sprouts. Unfortunately, none of the flavors stood out—everything tasted bland. The ribs and chicken were tough, and the salmon had an unpleasant fishy taste, almost as if they had used the least desirable part.

Honestly, I can’t see how this place earned its "Bib Gourmand". Spending over $100 for lunch here felt like throwing money away. If this is what Michelin-quality dining is supposed to be, then I’ll steer clear of any others on the list. This experience really made me question the credibility of the Michelin rating/review system. There was absolutely nothing remarkable or enjoyable about the food or the service, and it was a major disappointment.

We had a very nice meal at Spinning Bones. Our party of four ordered their pate, corn fritters, and chips with dip for appetizers. We also ordered a beet salad, fried chicken sando, and their beef with chimichurri as our mains to share. Unfortunately, the chicken sando was sold out, but everything else was tasty. The beef was a little too well done for my liking, but the chimichurri sauce was delicious so it more than made up for the wellness of the steak.

Our waiter, Patrick, was very kind and service was on point.

Overall, Spinning Bones did not disappoint. The Bib Gourmand designation is well deserved.
