Disappointing and Overpriced Experience

We had high expectations for Casa Malca, but the experience was a disaster from start to finish. First of all, the price is 3,000 pesos per person, with a minimum spend of 2,000 pesos, which is already expensive. But the worst part is that they tried to make us pay the tip twice, even though it was clearly included in the bill. This is a shameful practice for a place that claims to be high-end.

As for the service, we constantly had to call the servers to get their attention, and despite several requests, they did nothing to place us in the shade. Under the scorching sun, this is simply unacceptable for a venue charging such prices.

The portions of the dishes were ridiculously small, absolutely not worth their cost. And the cocktails? They are extremely expensive and completely disproportionate to their quality and quantity.

For a place that markets itself as luxurious, it’s a complete scam. Poor service, abusive pricing, and an experience that’s absolutely not worth it. We left very disappointed and would not recommend this place.

We bought a day pass for two. It came out to $150 per person and $100 is applied to food/drinks. The lunch menu is available for outside seating and starts at noon. Breakfast is indoors only. Edwin was our server and he was amazing. He kept our ice bucket fresh and the drinks coming. He even brought the food menu out early so we would know what we wanted when the kitchen opened. He even carried my bags. The views are amazing and the beach was so clean and clear of seaweed. I have to say I've never walked on such soft sand and I'm from the Gulf coast of Florida. I highly recommend this location. The art and underground pool are also nice. Parking is a little tricky if you follow GPS.  The parking lot is to the right, before you get there. We paid $200 pesos to park. The entrance is a little walk down to the left (see the video with the dog).

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a beachfront property that truly exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the level of customer service too notch

The rooms were a sanctuary of comfort and luxury. The linens were the softest I’ve ever experienced, making every night feel like a dream. I swear they have 5 different pillow options which is a girl dream. The steam shower in the bathroom was a personal highlight—transforming the space into a private spa and offering a perfect way to unwind after a day by the ocean.

The location itself is probably my favorite because it’s on the further end of the beach road which is much calmer and surrounded by some of the best restaurants in Tulum.

A unique experience. Thank you Casa Malca for the best honey moon ever. It was literally a dream.
Service was incredible, food delicious, the room was amazing (furnished very stylish and elegant) and the beachclub is the best one in tulum!!
Loved it. Will come back for sure !!

I’ve been coming to Tulúm for many years now and Casa Malca is, by far, the best place to stay when you are there. The grounds are magical, the rooms are opulent, the food is fabulous and they are so good at anticipating what you need that this is the only luxury hotel in tulum worth spending on. My partner and I chose to stay there for our wedding, and engagement and they went above and beyond. Highly recommend
