We had a great experience. Room was spacious, really close to the beach and ours had a small deck facing a giant tree and local Flora.
Prices for food are in the premium side and while the food wasn't on par the staff was great. 4/5 starts because I'd appreciate this being more kid friendly so a kids club or even a playground in the sand next to the pool would make this 5/5.

My husband and I came here on our “mini” moon and it was amazing and just what we were looking for. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and well maintained. The service was great from the pool service, restaurant service, front desk, housekeeping and guys on the golf carts. The food was delicious, a bit pricey but we were expecting that staying at a resort. The sunsets were amazing and the adults only pool was *chefs kiss*. I also had a massage service from Sylvia at AWAY spa which was incredible. We went during the slow season so it felt like we had the resort to ourselves at some points. Overall highly recommend for a relaxing, romantic getaway.

The service is 5/5. The campus is 3.5/5. The rooms are 2.5/5 even with the upgrades and staying in one of the best rooms available. Basically, the campus (and especially the room) needs a lot of maintenance. I’m not sure if this is because we were there during the off season.

Overall the resort space is interesting and I like the nature design a lot. It is small overall / smaller than expected - you may like or dislike that, no issue here with the size though. There were not a lot of guests here while we were.  The adults pool needs a deep clean and repair of tile throughout. The furniture needs attention and care. The main pool was recently renovated it looks like and is in much better shape though. The lobby area is really nice too. The grounds are well kept overall.

The room is cool and rustic in its design. However badly needs a deep clean, caulk, tile/grout attention throughout, better sealing (lots of bugs). We also had an animal it seemed living in the ceiling, which made a lot of noise at night squawking. Especially the bathroom areas and all doors and windows + frames need attention. Many fixtures (locks, lights, plumbing) are loose or detached and need attention. Nothing was critical but it’s not a 5star experience at all. The private pool outside our room was gross - never used it.

The food was ok, not amazing and not bad. Prices are decently high overall for most things. You get a couple free waters in your room. It’s easy to walk all over.  I have celiac disease and I was able to navigate the menus with the help of the servers to avoid gluten. One meal I did not feel great but out of the trip I think I came out relatively unscathed.

Service is excellent by everyone so I don’t understand other reviewers saying otherwise. The beach is beautiful. The food is pretty good and reasonably priced. The pools are nice, Mellissa the pool hostess was attentive, and the chairs comfortable. I enjoyed it here during the week when it wasn’t crowded. It’s a smaller boutique property, which I like. The spa was nice, the massage by Gio was excellent. And we enjoyed the complimentary activities: yoga, sound bowls, art and wine, mixology classes, etc. the rooms were fine. The lake view was suitable but the tv cast/streaming did not work, the vanity light did not work, and I heard others saying things their coffee maker didn’t work. I would recommend regular cleaning and fans for the patio and outdoor foyer areas, otherwise those spaces aren’t really usable due to the heat. The ponds (lake) need cleaning, or fish to do the cleaning… perhaps some lily pads to make them more appealing. The ocean front suites look like the best option on the property if it’s in your budget. I would come back and stay in that room category. A good place for groups. There were large birthdays and small weddings happening on the property of the weekends. The steam room in the spa could also use a more thorough and regular cleaning. There is no shuttle to any town so you need to have a car or use a driver to leave the property. FYI- they charge an automatic gratuity on the hotel bill of 13% and 13% for any services: spa, food, and beverage, which is reasonable. It seemed like they expected additional tips too as they reminded us every time that the 13% is shared so I think the hotel needs to choose 1 option: auto grat or let just let the guest tip.
