We ordered (same order as photos):
1. Sweet potato (by accident)
2. Peruvian ceviche
3. Chicken
4. Chorizo rice
5. Chocolate cake

Sweet potatoes was by far our favorite dish. We ordered the ceviche with sweet potato but there was a misunderstanding and they brought us the sweet potato dish and let us eat it for free. Such great service!

The ceviche was fresh and delicious and came with blue tostadas to eat with it.

The chicken was good. I loved the yogurt and dill dressing so much that came with the salad.

The arroz was okay. It was hot and yummy and fresh, but I’m not a big fan or chorizo. I wish I had ordered the vegetarian rice, but I had to get what the others in my group wanted as we were sharing.

THE CHOCOLATE CAKE WAS TO DIE FOR. It was more like a fudgy brownie with sweetened condensed milk surrounding it and delicious ice cream. It looked small but it was very rich.

Our servers were very cool. They spoke both English and Spanish.

I would recommend going at night when all the candles are lit. A very romantic and beautiful atmosphere.

Amaya has great food. It's some of the best you can get in the area but you need to know what to expect going in. I was the second person in the door and ordered a rice plate. They warned me and they were right, it takes 40-45 minutes to get a rice plate out. It was delicious, and I can appreciate the freshness, but that's a terribly long time to wait. Minus the wait I was asked half a dozen times if I wanted a drink which was maybe too attentive of the waitstaff. So it's a great choice for food, just know you might be waiting a bit.

Amazing food and Incredible service. Definitely a unique take on Mexican flavors. Staff is very attentive and take very good care of you. We got the ceviche, the chorizo rice, the soft shell crab and the panacotta. The ingredients and quality was impeccable and definitely one of the top restaurants in Mexico City. Definitely worth a visit.

Delicious, fresh and vibrant food in a colourful and laid back setting. Highly recommend the crispy soft shell crab and chorizo rice, big portions and very flavoursome. The rice dish (similar to a paella), takes a while to prepare, around 35-40min but the waiters are very clear on that when you order, so you might want to grab a few appetisers to keep you going. The prices are moderate, for the portion size and being CDMX I would say it's pretty fair. We did reserve a table online but the restaurant was quite empty when we arrived probably due to the current peak season having just ended but would recommend booking regardless.

This place is fine if you only plan to have a drink. The food was very underwhelming and not well executed. Many of the dishes lacked flavor and in some cases, the seasoning tasted off. Soft shell crabs were greasy and the roasted beets mushy. Maybe because we were there on a Monday?
