We had a wonderful experience at Acre for dinner. The space is well thought out and stunning. The drinks at the bar were phenomenal and the food was top notch. We were all very impressed with our meals. Everything was flavorful, composed beautifully and well plated. The only downside was the service - we were never formally greeted or introduced to our waiter and had to ask who was our server. The gentleman promptly replied he was not, but then came back later to take our order. His entire demeanor was just - awkward. He remained our server for the evening but we had to prompt and ask for him every time we wanted something. For a place with such elegance and high end appearance, it was fairly off putting. Hopefully it was just a one off. Otherwise our experience was wonderful!

The food and service here is unmatched! We drooled over every appetizer and entree, all while being taken care of by the friendliest and most attentive staff. The ambiance of this restaurant is truly unique. Yes, there were flies but this is the environment. The staff quickly turned on some fans and no more flies! We went to several places and it’s normal to have a fan placed on your table to combat them. Bring a jacket and tie your hair back and be blown away with this incredible experience.

When you enter into this space you are greeted by small artisan shops and a homemade ice cream cart.

Did not stay in the beautiful tree houses but they are set amidst a beautifully maintained garden of plants and trees. Peaceful and def a “word of mouth” find at the end of a dirt road. Restaurant is 5 Star, small zoo on property as well as adopt a dog ( see history to understand the roots of this). Quiet enclaves for events and gatherings. Lovely pool for hot days and excellence in service.

The Good:  great ambiance, very pleasant and inviting atmosphere. Kind of modern but still very cozy.  Pet friendly and have their own cats that live there and might visit your table.  Food and drinks overall are really good.

The negative:  ordered ice cream arrived almost melted. Waiter claims their ice cream is always very soft and creamy but that should be mentioned to a guest as most people expect ice cream to be firm.  They had somehow ran out of Earl grey tea except for 1 bag. We wanted 3 teas and someone in our party happened to have 2 teas in her purse, since the restaurant was out and couldn’t provide.  We were charged for 3 teas (1 provided by them and 2 teas provided by us out of necessity). They had charged for two sparkling waters when only 1 was ordered (hopefully just an honest mistake).  Overall these kinds of issues are not acceptable at restaurants that charge the kind of prices Acres does.

Absolutely amazing. The food, the service and the venue are all show stoppers. We had our rehearsal dinner here and booked the Mango Orchard space. The grounds at the Acre restaurant and event spaces are insanely beautiful and the food and drinks are top notch. The staff made sure that no one went empty handed. The team here is also extremely responsive and helpful. We had multiple events in San Jose del Cabo for our wedding and our dinner at Acre was an absolute favorite. Cannot recommend Acre enough for both events or dinner.
