We often stop by The Chandlers Arms for a swift glass of wine with our dog after a long walk, always tempted by the delicious dishes we see coming out of the kitchen. So, we finally decided to book a table, and I’m so glad we did!

From the moment we arrived, the friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere made us feel right at home, like dining at a good friend’s house. The dinner was nothing short of exquisite. The six-course set menu is a standout; unlike other Michelin-star restaurants where you might find yourself craving a chip shop on the way home, the portions here were just perfect.

Each dish was cooked to perfection, and the duck was incredibly tender. The marmite butter paired with warm, homemade bread was to die for. The service was exceptional throughout the evening.

If you’re a fan of a good red wine, I highly recommend trying the Slander—it has delightful cherry and chocolate notes that complemented the meal beautifully.

Overall, The Chandlers Arms exceeded our expectations, and we can’t wait to return!

Thank you to all the staff for an absolutely outstanding Sunday lunch. We thought the set menu was great idea (local produce and reducing waste etc), the food - wow!! delicious!! and the service was fantastic too. This was the first time we’ve visited but we’ll certainly be back and be sure to recommend The Chandlers Arms to our friends.

From the moment you walk in you're greeted as if you were family with warm smiles and genuine kindness. Because the restaurant caters for around eight tables, the parking to the side of the restaurant has more than enough space to cater for guests. There are two dining areas, both of which are intimate and beautifully presented. The entire staff are family and it really shines through as there is a level of detail desire to ensure that your visit is one to remember and they really did not fail to deliver. The set menu is so well thought out and each dish compliments the next with some quite incredible taste sensations to be had. The beef fillet was fantastic but for me, the Ramsbury vodka cured salmon with cucumber sorbet was just stunning. With fine dining as good as this it won't be long until the dad/son chef partnership are seriously considered for a Michelin star because having dined at several Michelin star restaurants the Chandlers Arms are definitely on par. We spent three hours savouring every dish and the intimate ambience and we will be returning again very soon and will be bringing the parents with us so they can enjoy the experience as much as we did. Well done on creating a wonderful dining experience with a genuine approach to hospitality that comes with warm smiles and acute attention to detail. Thank you and see you again soon.

Delightful gem of a restaurant exceeding expectations and delivering superb dishes over the evening.  Definitely a destination restaurant and worth the effort.

Couldn't fault the experience, and an experience it was. It was a beautiful sunny day so we asked if it was possible if we could eat outside - of course it was, no problem at all. The service was impeccable, made all the more impressive by the fact that apparently they also had a private function happening at the same time - you absolutely wouldn't have known - they made us feel that we were the only customers there. The food was also superb - the chef himself (husband and wife team, husband was the chef, wife was front of house) came out and explained what each course was,
and everything was so tasty and beautifully put together. Wouldnt hesitate in coming and eating her again, and would recommend to anyone. Thank you so much for making our day.
