It gets a VERY high recommendation from me.
From outside the Good Egg looks like a country town diner, and inside the same asthetic runs throughout. Its a comfortable, clean space. It's practical. The staff are lovely, and the young woman who served us was super engaging, with great recommendations, which helped because the menu has some quite original, unique options.
The food was more than satisfying, as were the drinks.
I feel silly having left it this long before checking The Good Egg out, however, I now know, and I’ll definitely be back!

Really tasty for a treat, but not if you are looking for something healthy to eat.  Everything is fried.  The place itself is nice, clean and the staff are friendly.   My son and I thoroughly enjoyed our food today.  I had the fried egg on cornbread and my son had berries on French toast.  Delicious!

From start to finish, it was an absolutely delightful experience! The staff were warm, welcoming, and always smiling, making us feel right at home as they guided us through the menu with enthusiasm and helpful suggestions. We arrived for an early dinner, and being quite hungry, we couldn't resist ordering a variety of dishes—everything sounded too good to pass up, and it didn’t disappoint! Each dish was vibrant, bursting with flavor, and made with fresh, wholesome ingredients that would have had us ordering more if we weren't already so full. The cocktails were just as impressive, beautifully presented and delicious. The cozy, inviting atmosphere tied everything together, creating the perfect setting for brunch, lunch, or dinner. Highly recommended!

This is a very popular brunch place in Stoke Newington. One often find a long queue outside in the weekend. However, we were a little disappointed after trying it out personally. Food was mostly deep fried & there were too much carb. I ordered a Smoked Haddock Hash & the fish is basically piled up with potatoes. Their signature dish did not impress either. However our younger companions seemed to enjoy the Fried chicken waffle & Bacon Bun much better than we did.

Went here with a friend - the atmosphere and service of the restaurant is pleasant but I found the food quite mediocre in terms of the taste and quality. I got the Fried chicken and Cornbread dish which was £16 but served on a small dishes plate. I’m not sure if this justifies the price, especially because the cornbread leant a little on the drier side and the chicken lacked a depth of flavour.
