This is hands down my favorite hotel in the world.

My family and I travel pretty extensively throughout Europe and the US and we rarely want to stay in the same place more than once, no matter how fantastic it is. The Omnia is an exception to the rule.

Our first stay was in 2018. My husband and I stayed at the property on our first big trip since the birth of our son. It was such a fantastic vacation and I wish I had written a review then. Not a detail was overlooked on behalf of the staff and they were so warm and inviting. The food was absolutely amazing and there's just a certain level of attention to detail from the hotel that I haven't really found anywhere else. We joked that the staff knew what we were doing before we did. They were always one step ahead of us.

Fast forward to July, 2024. Not a thing has changed. We had an exceptional stay, and were delighted to bring our now 7 year old along with us. From the moment the transport picked us up from the train station we knew he would have a blast. The pool and facilities are still as wonderful as they were in 2018, as is the food. The Housekeeping staff is also not to be overlooked. Anna was so kind and helpful at the front desk and Cedric was so informative and entertaining to chat with during our dinner service.

We look forward to making yet another exception to our rule and coming back again in 2025.

Everything was great at Omnia. From the moment you stepped into the special tunnel and take the lift to reception. The rooms do not even have numbers but alphabets. How special is that! Welcome drink was anything you want, including champagne. Heated pool and jacuzzi with a view. Breakfast was really nice,  1st time in the trip that i could get my croissant heated up. Table service as well. Phenomenal service all the time. Room's view is the whole Zemmatt, no snow yet, but i can imagine how beautiful it would be. It is also easy to walk into the shops just literally 2 mins away. Only small dislike is the size of the toilet, really small compared to the rest of the room. No showers, only a bathtub.

This is the first time my wife and I stayed at the Omnia and it definitely won’t be the last. Let’s start with the location - its entrance is conveniently located merely 50 feet away from the center of the town, yet because we needed to take an elevator ride to the hotel lobby which sits on a hill above the town, all the rooms are super quiet. The view - we had the village suite with three balconies and big windows that look out to the town and the mountains although not at the Matterhorn, the view was amazing. The service - the staff was very nice and attentive without being intrusive which was a hard balance to strike but they did it so very well. It was our 25th anniversary and there was a bottle of champagne and balloons and everything waiting for us in the room when we checked in. The facility - the whole facility is well maintained. Modern yet elegant. The heated pool and saunas were heavenly after a day of hiking in the mountains. I can’t say enough great things about the Omnia. And as mentioned at the beginning of this review, we will be back for sure!

Truly an amazing experience.
Everything from the porter picking you up at the train station, the staff greeting my daughter on one knee with a stuffed sheep, the entire staff calling my 6 year old by name, to the breakfast, views, ‘Omnia Experience’ dinner, the bourbon bottle in your room, the beautiful pool and spa – literally everything about this hotel is perfect. I have never had such a great experience in my life.
The hotel reaches out to you a week or two in advance to plan all of your daily activities and meals. They make all of the reservations for you. They knew my 6 year old daughter would be traveling with us and they had a perfectly sized bathrobe and slippers waiting for her. The porter called her ‘princess’ and the rest of the staff called her by name. We were greeted with champagne, chips, and olives while they take care of the check-in paperwork. There is literally nothing negative I can say about this place – they know how to provide a 5 star experience. We stayed in the Matterhorn Suite and I would say it is worth it even at double the price.

Wow I have stayed at many fine hotels but this one blew me away and exceeded my expectations with the incredible service and a true 5 star experience even after reading all the 5 star reviews on it. From the welcome snacks and drinks and Laura’s awesome welcoming personality to joa picking us up from the train station and showing us around to Esther being so so helpful and kind and the manager going above and beyond for us. Incredible views since it’s situated in the mountain and the breakfast is fantastic, high quality fruits, breads, eggs, avocado - everything is very high quality. The room feels very zen and modern japanese style which I love and bed is super comfy. As other reviewers have said, they set the bar for how a 5 star hotel should be, highly highly recommend staying here in zermatt!!
