I came here just the first time so I still have not experienced all of their dishes. But I enjoyed the wonton soup and the duck with plum sauce I ordered. I have the feeling like eating at home with their homemade style. It's simple, but tasty. The price is reasonable and your service is good. I don't know that I need to pre-order for two days for Beijing duck. Next time I will come back and try that with other dishes.

A very good cantonese restaurant with friendly staff. We enjoyed their Beef Ho Fun and Sin Chew Beehon, surprisingly traditional style.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Hongkist. We had preordered the Peking Duck which had crispy skin and juicy meat. For dessert we split their Hong Kong style french toast, fried bananas and mochi ice cream, all were delicious. The staff was very attentive, making sure to fill up our glasses. Plus points for splitting all the deserts in four parts for us to easily share, it was a nice touch. The restaurant itself is very plain but clean. The table behind us ordered all 8 sizzling meat at once which smoke made it quite hard to breathe and a few guests were coughing, perhaps better ventilation would improve this. Overall though Hongkist delivered on both price, quality and service. Would recommend.

Cosy atmosphere. Lunch menu doesn’t seem to be Hong Kong style, sweet and sour pork is fried meat ball, quite unexpected. But price is reasonable, and you can mix different dishes.

Hongkist is one of my favourite restaurants in the city. The food is great and have consistently been so throughout the years! Service is super friendly and always happy to see us.

Happily recommend the fried wontons, spring rolls with minced meat, mapo tofu and sweet and sour pork. It's a place we now cross town to get to, and it's worth it every time.
