Overall it was alright. The place is beautiful and the view is amazing. I would give 5 stars but they didn't mention the renovations anywhere! So compared to the fact that the whole place is being renovated and its really loud the price was outrageous! Some places that have already been renovated are wonderful though! It was a vibe the breakfast tasted good, we didn't eat dinner because it was too expensive. Also the spa is not worth the price!The rooms were clean maybe the bathroom walls were a bit weird. The service and the workers were really helpful and kind.
Would still recommend it wasn't bad afterall.

Located on an amazing location in the archipelago, 45 minutes to downtown Stockholm. Worth noting the train doesn’t run momentarily, but the service is operated by buses. Free parking which is a plus. We had seaside rooms in one of the towers and were pretty pleased with them. Great view, comfy beds, the bathroom was a bit uncomfortable with a high step in to the bath tub. Make sure to book sea view rooms. Found the hotel restaurants not very inspiring and expensive. The hotel is under renovation, which is badly needed, but they seem the handle it well without too much disturbance. Friendly reception staff, which made sure we got the same rooms on return, which is lovely. All in all the hotel made me think of the movie ‘The Budapest Hotel’. Can recommend

Pool Service. We sit 15 Minutes in the garten of the hotel with additional  two guests eating.

I ask the the waiter for an order.

But for 15 minutes no response of my request of the 3 (free) service personal.

I am used to better service in a Grand Hotel

A top floor room, of reasonable size with a decent enough bed. A bathroom in the running for the smallest. Nice toiletries. Note to house keeping: please put two tea bags of each type out, also if sending up fruit, include spoons not forks so they can be eaten. Thank you.
Breakfast is a fair buffet, with a good range of the usual things, served in a very grand fin d'siecle room.
The staff were very helpful, and one team member helped us to the ferry terminal. This was above and beyond.
At present (July 24) the hotel is being modernised and bravely remaining open.

Stayed at this hotel 20 years ago, great memories, tried again... it was a disappointment. Location is great but they are renovating the hotel which wasn't mentioned when reserving, workers are everywhere at all times, the elevator is barely usable, my room had only one drape which wasn't enough to block the light, I complained, they gave me a smaller older room. Breakfast is pretty good but lacks any service. Their "grand" spa is not grand but outdated, just a pretty big swimming pool and an old jacuzzi, the sauna barely works, changing room is cramped and old.
