I loved this museum. It is bigger then you think. You can spend at least 5 hours here. Perfect for kids and adults. It's interactive and there is a lot of variation.

You can eat there as well.

We went here on a rainy day. When you buy the tickets they give you a wrist band. There are also some free lockers to put your things.  I recommend you start with the submarines and then go see the rest of the museum. It’s also good to go early because it gets very crowded around lunch time. They have a restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. We didn’t eat there. Could be nice to try some local restaurants instead.
The submarine section of the museum was by far the best part. The rest of the museum was okay but you could skip some parts here and there. If you really want to, you can stay there for a very long time. The museum is very big and there a lot of things to see. They have some interactive things here and there for kids to do.
Outside the museum there are 3 ships you can get on, which was also very nice.
I am a big gift shop buyer and their gift shop leaves a lot to be desired. They only had one children’s book for child and it wasn’t even about the museum. The souvenir also didn’t have many things about the museum either.

Amazing place. The whole family loved it. So much to see and experience. We will definetly go back! Their lunch buffé is fantastic. Don't forget to try their home made ice-cream!

Absolutely adorable place, the best maritime museum I’ve ever visited. The most interesting parts are definitely the underwater route where you can see real ship wrecks from XVIII century! And of course you can enter the real submarine! The museum would be a good place for kids too, coz there are things they can touch (which is amazing, right?!) and there’s a great playground inside.
Also consider eating at bistro downstairs: good Swedish food on budget.
The one improvement I’d suggest is the mobile app: it’d be great if audio files open automatically when you approach the next stop. Some files are a bit too long, and when you visit the museum with kids you can barely spend few minutes next to each stand.

This museum is a best place, not only to know about naval history but to experience the same. You can go in to a submarine. The place has some working models for kids to play around and teach how submarine works. The buffet served is very good and not included in the entry ticket. Entry is also free during Wednesdays. You also can enjoy some good views around the museum.
