We had the great pleasure of dining at Monastrell restaurant in Alicante. We were given a menu, but only to describe the many courses that were to come. Each plate was exquisite..a work of art, really!The service was very good, perfect.
in a perfect atmosphere, at perfect pace, with perfect wine pairings, with perfect company... Priceless.

The best food, service and ambiance you’ll have in Spain. The olive oil is so good you might drink it. Every plate is elegant and simple, and every ingredient makes you say “wow”. The wine pairings with the 12 course menu were outstanding!

I am quite critical but this starred restaurant gives you fantastic food, good story and super experience. The owner makes it extra special. We were with 2 children and a small dog but nothing was too much for the waiting staff. Great experience we won't soon forget

Really nice view and ambience - very warm welcome from the chef

Efficient service but some dishes were not really hitting my sweet spot and some plates suddenly looked a bit cheap?

Went yesterday for lunch and had an amazing experience. We had the Alicante tasting menu with a bottle of wine chosen by the chef. Every course was delicious with amazing flavours. Each course was explained to us expertly by our waitress and presented so beautifully. I must commend our waitress who spoke perfect English and had a superb knowledge of the food. I think her name was Monica sorry I’m terrible with names but she is originally from Mexico. A real dining experience if you want to sample the flavours of Alicante. The highlight was the prawn hot pot, the cuttlefish rice and the nougat desert. One small note the bread could have been fresher and maybe warmed but a minor point. A fabulous gastronomic experience.
