The hotel is fine, but unfortunately lacking in some features of a 5* I would expect.

On arrival my room stank of bleach. Even with the window open it was overwhelming. I called reception for housekeeping to come and try and resolve it. It took over half an hour for them to arrive and when she did she just sprayed more chemicals on the floor. I had to suggest to just use water to wash it. In the end I had to swap rooms entirely with my travel companion as the smell had triggered a migraine. The hotel did nothing to make up for this.

The shower in one room was nice, but in the other leaked into the bathroom and bedroom floors.

Unfortunately the beds are not king beds, but are two singles pushed together. This resulted in a gap in the middle which was uncomfortable to sleep in/fall into! The pillows were also dreadful.

Sadly the pool area is tiny, and people leave their things on the loungers and go off for ages (at least 2 hours one day) meaning we couldn't use the area on 2/3 days.  The pool itself is somewhere for a dip, it's not actually big enough to swim in.

Rooms do get two bottles of filtered water a day, which is nice. There's also tea and coffee provided in rooms, along with robes and slippers.

Overall I was quite disappointed with the hotel. Even at a discounted rate of £220 per night, it was overpriced. Certainly at full price at nearly £300 for the end of October, it's not worth the money.

EDIT: re the hotel's response. I raised *all* concerns during the trip and none of them were resolved. I was not at any time offered another room as I was told the hotel was fully booked the night we arrived (19 Oct). Lying in your response has made me reduce the overall rating from 3 to 2.

I recently spent 24 hours at The Standard Hotel in Ibiza, and it was a fantastic experience. Traveling solo, I was immediately impressed by the vibrant and modern atmosphere of the hotel. The facilities are new and exude a cool vibe that perfectly captures the spirit of Ibiza.

Younes and the team were truly exceptional. Their warm hospitality and attentiveness made my short stay feel special. They provided great recommendations for dining and activities, which really enhanced my experience. The service was top-notch, and I felt genuinely cared for throughout my visit.

I highly recommend The Standard for anyone looking for a stylish and welcoming place to stay in Ibiza. The combination of a beautiful hotel and outstanding staff truly sets it apart.

We stayed at the Standard for four night for part of our three week Spain trip. This property was by far our favorite. Fast, thoughtful, professional service beginning from our arrival. Marc at the front desk was so kind to get into our room upon arrival at 0830 - very welcome since we had been up since 0430 to catch our flight from Seville. Small thought touches define this hotels service. Barbara at the concierge desk helped us book a wonderful boat charter for the day and helped me track down a beach I wanted to revisit from my first trip to Ibiza 10 years ago. The design of the hotel was superb. Beautiful interiors throughout with nice shower / bath products. House keeping was excellant! I will definitely be return my next trip! Thank you Marc, Barbara and others for making our stay so comfortable.

Stayed in the Junior Suite for 5 nights. Room was wonderful and more spacious than pictures. Hotel is in the best location you could ever ask for in Ibiza Town.

Younes was one of the best concierge I’ve ever worked with. He went above and beyond with our requests. Helped us with incredible restaurant recs, beach clubs, and car rentals. He made the stay truly world class.

Breakfast was delicious. Only knock is the rooftop and pool setup kind of awkward, not very appealing to hang out up there.

Small rooms, the ac in our first room wasn't working, so were moved to a lower category room for the rest of our stay rather than moving twice. Great rooftop, very inviting, and the pool is way above average for an in-town rooftop pool. Professional service throughout. The price is higher than it should be but that's the case these days.
