Nice beach.
Not far away (walking distance 15 min) is amazing beach called Macarelleta.
While visiting Cala Macarella, there were some algae present on the beach. By the beach there is a restaurant.
You can walk to the beach from Cala Galdana, it takes aprox. 30 minutes.

The beach takes efforts getting to with a 20 mins walk from the bus stop. But it’s definitely worth the effort! Macarella itself has beautiful clear water but there was quite a bit of algae the day I went. After few mins walk through the algae then you are rewarded with that turquoise water.
The real gem of the area is Cala Macareleta which is another 10 mins walk up and down the hill. I saw a lot of people walking towards that area and thought they must know something somewhere better that I didn’t! Cala Macareleta has the softest sand and the view was amazing! I can see why it’s so popular!
Having the Cafe Suzy at the beach is a big plus to fuel up after a day spent covering two beaches. Make sure you wear comfortable shoes for the walk and small climb.

Beautiful beach with clear water and nice natural forest. Beware of the long steep walk of 15-20min from the parking place to reach the beach area from the bus station. It could be difficult for kids or old people with limited ability.
There is a single beach bar serving food, burgers, fries, and drinks, incl. Tap beers. Showers are 1 euros.
Some parts of the beach had algae. You can have foot in the sand for a long distance so nice for non swimmers.

it’s not easy to arrive to this cala, but it’s well worth it. amazing waters, beautiful surroundings. a plus is that there’s a restaurant on the cala itself.

best advice: go to cala galdana and park there, much more space and only 35 minutes of a walk away.

Beautiful little beach accessible with a 15min walk from the parking. A restaurant is there. The place is pretty touristic so don't expect to be alone there.
Cala macareleta is just a few steps from macarela and the view is splendid.
