This place is absolutely breathtaking! Renowned for their oven-baked dishes, we ordered the cordero, cabrito, lechón, caracoles, padrón, and their uniquely delicious pan con aioli. And the desserts? Simply unforgettable! The cardinal, lovingly made by Tomeu’s mother, and the homemade crema catalana are must-tries.
A true hidden gem, we brought our parents here, and the journey to Es Verger was an adventure in itself, with its winding and narrow road. Be sure to plan ahead so you can take your time driving up and fully enjoy the experience!

I found this place purely by chance on a Google map search. Wanting a scenic drive with a lunch stop, this venue popped up. With great reviews, I added it to the itinerary, heading there for lunch.
The road that leads up to it is a real challenge and not for the feint hearted. It's narrow, very bumpy and has many "full lock" hairpins. Walking for those that are fit isn't a problem and it'll take around an hour. My wife has emphysema so that's not possible and driving is the only option.
The staff are really friendly, the food excellent and the views are simply stunning. Eat on the terrace or inside. We ate outside and were surrounded by Goats with young kids.
We had the roast suckling pig and the roasted goat. Both were exceptional with the pig being my favourite. Both meals are hearty so no need to add anything as they come with potatoes and salad. The beer was ice cold and served with fresh bread, olives and home made alioli.
You'll not be disappointed, honestly. It's well worth the walk/drive/ride.

It’s well worth the journey up the winding road, although it is in a bad state of repair lots of potholes. Once you reach the top of the views are spectacular.
The restaurant is Self is extremely oldie wealthy, and authentic. We had coffee cake and ice cream and found it delicious although a little bit on the expensive side. €27.30 for three coffees cake and ice cream. but saying that it is still definitely worth a visit and I would recommend going for one of their traditional barbecued foods.

Very atmospheric place located in the mountains. Delicious food and amazing service. The access to the place lies through a narrow mountain road.

If you want to try some good authentic grandma’s type food then this is the place to go.

Caution: if you’re driving, make sure to mentally prep yourself going up a single lane patchy road but at the end it is totally worth it.
