To understand the experience at Gente Rara (Strange People), one must understand the city is located in. Zaragoza (Caesar Augusta) was settled by the Greeks around 300 BC and grew under Roman rule. It has had many rulers and has the infusion of many cultures, nestled near the Pyrenees, and northern and eastern seas it has access to many fresh food. Today it is a diverse city which is known for industrious people.

Gente Rara manages to capture the essence of this city through its extensive small plate menu. In this experience you will sample a tour which will take you through the back alleys of this city and it’s rich gastronomic delights. You will sample local produce, bakeries, wines, and cheeses, while also demonstrating the global influences which have been adopted and mastered by the Chef Palacios and his team of artists. It is amazing to watch the discipline of the staff while dining in a warm and unpretentious atmosphere.

Incredible food, service and atmosphere. The staff are all incredibly welcoming and friendly and the service was excellent- down to the last detail. The food speaks for itself. Every bite was delicious.

Nothing is pretentious about the experience which was a massive plus for us. As Do yourself a favor and snag a reservation here!

Un estrella Michelin para probar sin dudarlo. El ambiente estupendo con un servicio personal acorde a lo que se espera de un restaurante así. Los pases muy elaborados para degustarlos en diferentes ambientes dentro del local. Recomendable para Zaragoza

Restaurante muy cuidado y selecto. El lugar es muy bonito y acogedor. Trato magnífico.
Tiene varios menús, nosotros cogimos el de 17 pases.
Los aperitivos estaban deliciosos, especialmente el Craquelín de sobrasada y queso de cabra de Estrabilla, también el Macaron de foie, chocolate y naranja.
Del menú nos gustó mucho el consomé madre con oloroso, servido en una vajilla antigua.
Nos pareció curioso el salmonete cocinado en cera de abejas.
De los postres reseñar la degustación de quesos con miel, traída en el panal y el helado de aceituna negra de Aragón con chocolate y aceite de oliva ( deliciosa).
Merece la pena la espera.

Very careful and select restaurant. The place is very nice and cozy. Magnificent treatment.
It has several menus, we took the one with 17 passes.
The appetizers were delicious, especially the Craquelín with sobrasada and Estrabilla goat cheese, also the Macaron with foie, chocolate and orange.
From the menu we really liked the mother consommé with oloroso, served in antique crockery.
We found the mullet cooked in beeswax curious.
Of the desserts, we would like to highlight the tasting of cheeses with honey, brought in the honeycomb, and the black olive ice cream from Aragon with chocolate and olive oil (delicious).
It's worth the wait.

El mejor restaurante! El local es estilo nave industrial, con mucho espacio y diferentes espacios para comer. El trayecto de la comida desde que entras es sin prisa y con un servicio impecable. Cogimos la opción con maridaje y lo recomiendo 100% para experimentar el completo del restaurante. La combinación de los ingredientes en todos los platos tiene mucha armonía y utilizan sobre todo productos de Aragón, junto con su innovación en la cocina todos los platos son increíbles. Un placer comer aquí.

The best restaurant! The place is industrial warehouse style, with a lot of space and different spaces to eat. The food journey from the moment you enter is unhurried and with impeccable service. We took the option with pairing and I recommend it 100% to experience the entire restaurant. The combination of ingredients in all the dishes is very harmonious and they use mainly products from Aragon, along with their innovation in the kitchen, all the dishes are incredible. A pleasure to eat here.
