The sheer size and intricate detail of the architecture are awe-inspiring, with towering spires, beautiful stained glass windows, and ornate chapels throughout.

Beautiful cathedral.  The history reveals centuries of the usual battle of power which links political religious and commercial interests.   I would love to see people entering this temple in silence and give it the respect it deserves.  If you search for the peace it may bring you you can attend mass.  You will not have access to the whole cathedral but very worth your while.  We also paid extra for  the roof tour which I highly recommend. Our guide was incredible and we learned a lot. Also we went in low season so much much more enjoyable although still busy.

The Cathedral of Seville, one of the largest Gothic cathedrals in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is known for its grand architecture, intricate stone carvings, and stunning stained glass windows.
We were asked to visit Giralda Tower (required separate entrance ticket) upon entering the compound. A former minaret from the mosque that once occupied the site, the tower is a striking blend of Moorish and Renaissance styles.
The ramps that leads to the top, though looked gentle was no small feat went descending up, the effort paid off upon reaching the top as it offered breathtaking views of Seville.
Inside the cathedral, impressive tomb of Christopher Columbus supported by four statues representing the kingdoms of Spain caught our eyes. This add profound historical significance to the cathedral.
The cathedral is indeed impressive and live up its name as the largest church in the world, after St. Peter's Basilica in Rome and St. Paul's Cathedral in London.

We bought tickets at the entrance, no wait, although it’s January and off-season.

The rooftop guided tour was excellent, possibly the best guided tour I’ve ever taken anywhere. The English-speaking guide was well-spoken, provided useful information and at a pleasant pace.

One of the highlights of my visit was climbing the Giralda Tower. The panoramic views of Seville from the top are simply stunning and offer a unique perspective of the city's layout and its blend of historic and modern elements.

Inside the cathedral, the vast nave and the richly decorated altars are remarkable. The Capilla Mayor, with its enormous Gothic altarpiece, is particularly impressive. I also had the chance to see the tomb of Christopher Columbus, which adds a profound historical significance to the visit.

The atmosphere within the cathedral is both serene and grandiose. The peacefulness contrasts with the immense scale, creating a reflective and spiritual ambiance. Whether you are interested in history, architecture, or spirituality, Seville Cathedral is a must-visit landmark that offers a profound and enriching experience.
