After reading some of the reviews, I didn't have high expectations and thankfully I was wrong. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food at Elemento. We ordered all the 4 seafood options under the starters. Although all of them were great, the highlight was the king fish cured in citrus served with cantaloupe melon and tiger milk. We also really enjoyed the squid from Azores in bread stew with bone marrow and peanuts. The red snapper fish and the turbot fish dishes were also very tasty but nothing out of the ordinary.
For desserts, we ordered the apple crumble, smoked toffee and cauliflower ice cream and I was very happy with my decision. The cauliflower ice cream was very unique and the apple crumble was presented more like baked apple on toffee crumble so it was much lighter. My partner ordered the Mediterranean cheesecake, the tomato jelly & basil sorbet and he seemed very happy with his choice as well.
The service was indeed a bit slow at times but always professional and not in a stiff way. As mentioned in the comments and in the menu at the restaurant you do end up smelling like you sat by a bonfire for a few hours when you leave the restaurant but it adds to the experience. Next time, I will make sure to sit at the counter by the kitchen to watch the magic happen.

We had reservations and from the moment we entered we enjoyed a great experience. Service was outstanding in meeting our individual needs, cleanliness was impeccable. Watching the staff to make sure all items meet high standards was reassuring about the hygiene. We both started with a drink before our meal. Wine selection was good and met our demands. We both ordered different dishes to compare presentation, texture and taste. We have not been disappointed by any of the dishes we had. To my surprise I was completely satisfied and could not have a dessert, but my wife did which looked decadent. Interior Devore was pleasant but the kitchen and fire habe it very special feeling. Would I come back here again! Of course I would and if you wonder, don’t go for it you will enjoy it as much as we did!

First of all! We had a great evening! The restaurant has a great concept and idea, with an excellent chef and friendly staff! The attention to detail is very noticable, and the presentation of the dishes are fantastic, giving them a Michelin-worthy appearance. Great team and good food.

However, there are a few areas that could be improved. The wine pairing did not complement the dishes well. None of the wines enhanced the dishes or vice versa, which was somewhat disappointing. Additionally, the timing was off; the wines were often finished before the food arrived. With only five wines for a nine-course menu, we found this insufficient. Furthermore, the wine servings were too small, poured below the curve of the glass, while it is customary to pour above the curve.

Regarding the flavors of the dishes, while the quality of the meat and fish was excellent, the flavors were generally too subtle and not very complex. This made the dishes a bit bland in terms of taste. Despite these points, the restaurant shows great potential. Still very high quality and again we had a great night!

Elemento is my favorite restaurant in the world and easily deserving of a Michelin star! The overall experience is unmatched if you sit at the counter and watch the chefs cook your meal. The service is world class and the food is always impeccable. My wife and I have been to this restaurant three times (and to Gastro, its sister restaurant, once) and we have always been incredibly pleased with the tasting menu. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. If you are in Porto and are looking for a world class fine dining experience, you must try this.

Sat at the kitchen counter, had an extraordinarily good time; attentive but not intrusive service, great ambiance and food that deserves a Michelin * - creative, surprising, and pulls off the "everything cooked on wood" thing without overpowering the high quality ingredients.

Not the cheapest place in Porto but the price/quality ratio is still excellent. Deserves praise!
