The Host was welcoming and the staff were nice. We were seated and greeted by a waiter with a tray of already cooked appetizers. We thought it was to see what the items looked like and they would then prepare fresh for our table. Not the case. We were given the cold cod fritters from the tray that had traveled to every other table in the restaurant. Despite being cold they were full of bones so not appealing to eat. The starter soft cheese is sold separately then the bread so you just eat it with a spoon.
We ordered white wine and it was warm.
The octopus salad was good. It was a canned octopus with vinegar, peppers, onions, and cilantro.
Ordered one suckling pig fritter was brought two and charged for two. It was boiled pig inside.
Tap water is served and it is 3 Euro.
Unfortunately we didn't order anything else.

Food was nice and atmosphere was good, BUT we did get suggested an appetiser before we decided to order and we agreed as it sounded good, but the bread brought out was old and stale. Had to ask for new bread which was then fresh so 4 star for service/food because of it. Our drinks took a while to come as well and it was just 2 glasses of wine. The actually food was really nice however, really recommend the truffle mash. That was delicious.

The Service and the attitude of the staff was great. The atmosphere was fun. However, the food was a disappointment. There was 5 of us and so we tried many different foods. The cod fritters were hard and not crispy which we expressed. The fish was too salty and the steak didn’t taste like much.

Our very friendly Uber driver recommended this restaurant to us and it most definitely did not disappoint! It’s in a beautiful old building redecorated with a modern and funky style while also retaining the classic Lisboa vibe. We tried a number of Appetizers and all of which were very very good, especially the truffled egg potato’s with oyster mushrooms. The melon cucumber gazpacho was delicious as well. The typical Portuguese goat cheese with bread was also great! We would absolutely recommend Faz Frio to anyone wandering through principe real, we will definitely be back to try more of the main courses!

My friend lives here for 2 years and he recommended this restaurant. Easy to find. I arrived here at 18:00 so no other customers around. But if you come here after 19:00, there will be lots of people in the restaurant. I ordered medium - steak "bitoque de lombo" with fries in 23 euro and like it! Staffs very polite. Water is 3 euro
