Casa Amora

In the heart of Lisbon, an enchanting retreat awaits at Casa Amora, a sanctuary tucked away on Alto de São Francisco. This delightful lodging is a breath of fresh air, blending modern comforts with the timeless charm of Portuguese hospitality. Here, each room is a poet’s dream, boasting rich textures and vibrant colors that echo the beauty of the surrounding city. Morning light pours through large windows, illuminating intricate tile work reminiscent of a bygone era, while lush greenery envelops the serene garden where the scent of orange blossoms wafts through the air.

The allure of Casa Amora extends beyond its inviting decor; it captures the very essence of Lisbon’s spirit. Guests can savor a hearty homemade breakfast before embarking on a day of exploration, or unwind with a glass of local wine as the sun dips below the horizon, painting the sky in hues of pink and gold. The vibrant, storied neighborhood of Santo António pulses with life, offering an array of charming boutiques, traditional taverns, and inviting cafes just steps from the doorstep.

Not far off, the iconic landmarks of Lisbon beckon. Wander the cobbled streets, where the majestic São Jorge Castle looms above the city, or lose yourself in the labyrinthine alleys of Alfama, where Fado music weaves tales of love and nostalgia. Casa Amora offers not merely a place to stay but a gateway into the heart and soul of this captivating city. Allow yourself to be drawn into a world where history meets warmth, and every moment holds the promise of unforgettable memories.

Cute family run B&B by the quaint “Mulberry garden” in Lisbon (Jardim das Amoreiras). Total of six rooms. Breakfast delivered daily to your room in a nice basket (you send the owner a picture of a breakfast form with what you want the day before). Paulo (one of the owners) walked us around the neighborhood upon arrival and recommended some local spots. Also, Lisbon’s oldest bar is just around the corner. This is a great hotel for travelers wishing to be in a calm area and avoid tourist traps like near Pink Street etc. Also compared to many other hotels in Lisbon, the price is great for what you get.
