I recently visited Buddha Eden in Portugal, and it was a truly remarkable experience. The park is vast and beautifully maintained, filled with impressive sculptures of Buddhas, pagodas, and peaceful gardens. Walking through the park is incredibly relaxing, and there are many hidden spots to sit and reflect. The blend of nature and art creates a serene atmosphere, making it a perfect place to escape the hustle of daily life. Incredible strolling garden of 85 acres, containing hundreds of pieces of sculpture. The garden design is amazing, vibrant colors, many Buddhas and Asian pueces as well as African, modern, etc.   This is truly a must-see if you can get here!

At first, I was hesitant to visit this garden, but I'm grateful I did. It exceeded my expectations. Plan to spend at least two hours outside and watch the weather conditions. The 35-hectare gardens are full of sculptures and statues that are well done. You will find ample parking right in front. Bring something to drink afterward; a cooler with water in the car would be perfect. The garden also has an outdoor restaurant near the entrance/exit and several refreshment carts throughout the park.

It is probably not a good place to take a baby or toddler, as the cobblestones and stairs make stroller access difficult. Prepare to walk several kilometers.

For people who enjoy a well-taken care of garden, it will be the right choice. The area is rather large, there are ponds, some streams, even fountains. And of course, lots of sculptures from different materials and 1000 Buddha statues. I think you need at least couple of hours to walk around. There is an onsite cafe too. On top of that, you can taste different wines at the entrance to this park. It’s free, but of course, they will offer to buy the wines you are tasting if you like any. Wine tasting is free and you are not obliged to anything. There is a free parking in front of the entrance to the park. There is a bathroom before you enter and some inside, too.

This place is amazing and worth a visit. A massive sprawling garden full of amazing sculptures, art, ponds, flowers, trees and picturesque scenery. We went on a Monday in December and we were basically by ourselves through most of the garden. Beautiful koi fish fill the ponds. This place is magical and promotes peace and contemplation. A lot of art from Africa and Asia influence that I did not expect.
