Very nice Abbey, just like in the movies.
You can find a church inside and participate in the mass and listen to the religious songs that sound amasing. The church has amazing acoustics.
Also the view is amazing both from the outside and inside. You can see the Vistula river, we were lucky to go there just at sunset when the sun shone and reflected on the river in a mesmerising fashion.

The Benedictine Abbey in Tyniec is an ancient monastery picturesquely situated on a limestone hill by the Vistula River. You can easily reach it by public transport, bike or a car from Cracow. It's definitely worth visiting, especially on a nice sunny day as the surroundings are beautiful and peaceful, perfect for strolling,   kayaking, biking and other outdoor activities.

The abbey in Tyniec is the oldest existing monasteries in Poland, located on the limestone Monastery Hill on the Vistula River, was most probably founded by Casimir I the Restorer in 1044. This happened after the crisis of the young state, caused by a pagan rebellion and the Czech invasion. The Benedictines were to support the reconstruction of the state and the Church. The first abbot was Aaron of Cologne.  Some researchers, however, believe that the Tyniec Abbey for the Benedictines who had previously been present in Kraków was founded only by the son of Casimir the Restorer, Bolesław II the Generous. In the second half of the 11th century, a complex of Romanesque buildings was built: a three-nave basilica and monastery buildings. In the Middle Ages, Tyniec was located in the border area, and the proximity of the capital city of Krakow made the abbey the subject of disputes.

Beautiful place next to river, where you can have a rest. It’s easy to get there by bicycle from Kraków, so it can be a great place to visit on weekends.

Not much to see there unless you have a drone for an aerial riverside view. The shop, however, is extremely well stocked with all kinds of medicinal herbal infusions, liqueurs, etc. at reasonable prices.
