As someone passionate about Indonesian food, I can confidently say that Restaurant Blauw in Amsterdam offers one of the most authentic experiences I've encountered. I enjoy Indonesian cuisine regularly, and this restaurant truly stands out among all others I’ve tried across various countries.

The atmosphere at Blauw is warm and inviting, making it the perfect setting for a meal.

The menu features a wide range of traditional dishes, and the flavors are nothing short of incredible. Each dish showcase the rich culinary heritage of Indonesia. One of the highlights of my visit was when our waiter explained the food arrangement on our table, mentioning that the dishes are presented from mild to spicy. This thoughtful approach allowed us to gradually experience the heat and complexity of the flavors, enhancing our dining experience.

I have ordered the Authentic Mix Meal, which includes Meat, Fish & Vegetables. This order combines all the dishes you need to try in small plates. It was delicious.

While I found the portion sizes to be a bit small, they were still acceptable given the quality and authenticity of the dishes. Each bite was packed with incredible flavors that transported me back to Indonesia. The service was attentive and friendly, contributing to the overall fantastic experience.

In summary, if you're looking for authentic Indonesian cuisine in Amsterdam, Restaurant Blauw is a must-visit. It has quickly become one of my favorite spots, and I can’t wait to return! Highly recommended for anyone who loves Indonesian food!

Overall, the food was good and definitely something to try in Amsterdam.

Service, partly good because allergies were well taken into account  BUT partly because of that we got the food late.

And then we were told ...while the meal was still in progress that we had to leave soon because our time was up. So perhaps 🤔 they should reserve a little more time...especially since some of the customers left early, so should they be a little more flexible on a customer-by-customer basis?

Great service, nice authentic taste. We had the meat rice table for two and it was a nice variety of way over 10 different tasty Indonesian dishes and sides. Very recommended

Really nice restaurant with great food and very friendly people! The rice platter is really good and has lots of different dishes to try from and experience the great taste of Indonesian cuisine 😊

Have been here in the past and was more impressed than on this visit.
We ordered two Rijsttafels full and vegan.
The food was ok but some what bland. the portions could be more generous.
You are charged for not cold tap water ( there isn’t need to filter water in Amsterdam)
Expensive for what you get.
