The food was really good, nothing to add. We did the 5 courses menu and we were really happy also about the cost/quality balance. Why not 5 stars?
We waited a bit too much between courses ending up the dinner after 2.5h (for Monday evening and 2 people).
Also, the dessert was a bit unbalanced for my flavor: the caramel was too sweet.

The restaurant itself was incredible, with a cosy atmosphere and amazing food.

However, the service left much to be desired.

After being seated and placing our order, we waited over an hour for our food with no communication about the delay. The servers were not attentive, and we had to ask three or more times for the extra drinks we ordered before they finally arrived.

It’s very disappointing, as Cafe Binnenvisser has such great potential, but the service unfortunately let down what could have been an amazing dining experience.

This was a rec from a local friend and it did not disappoint! We opted for a la carte and were blown away by every dish, but especially the tomato which was cooked 4 ways.. wow the sauce was absolutely divine. I believe their menu changes based on seasonal and local ingredients which is probably why everything tasted so fresh. They are sister restaurants to Calisto and Cornerstore which makes sense, everything we had was delicious and we will be coming back the next time we visit !

This is amazing place! The food is fantastic! One of the best I’ve tried in Amsterdam. Everything is soooo delicious, but not that expensive for fine dining restaurant! I wish there were more vegetarian options! But I was completely satisfied and ready to recommend this place!

Nice restaurant. Me and my partner had a good time there. The food was delicious, with a homemade feeling, good flavor and not pretentious. The tempo of serving the dishes was a bit off, sometimes. Not impressed with the dessert but is a personal opinion.

-The wine selection is interesting.
-Usually, they work with groups, so it can get a little bit noisy. Two people are taking as walk-in, if tables are available.
-There is nothing to support the cutlery when they change the dishes, so from the beginning you have to find the way to place them “somewhere” to use it with the next dish 🫠.

Overall, I would recommend the restaurant. Again, the food was delicious and the bread I bread is made there too.
