We (group of 7) chose Džiaugsmas based on their amazing reviews, positive publicity, longevity and their recently acquired Michelin star.
It certainly did not disappoint. It was an amazing culinary experience and all the courses were uniquely intriguing, with a local twist, which we loved.
The eel and the dumpling, along with the boleatus ice cream, were my favourites. Despite my eel having some bones and my wife’s dumpling being a lot harder and chewier than mine.
Lebanese red wine was a nice find too, which I have never came across before. The cocktails were very tasty, however after waiting for some time and having to remind the waiter about the order, we were told that the burnt butter old fashioned was not available.

The service was good, not intrusive but very attentive. We had the tasting menu and the wait time between the courses was very long. I am not sure if this was intentional, but it felt too long. We started at 7.30pm and finished at nearly 11pm.

I will definitely return to explore their a la carte menu. But overall - a must go place for true foodies when visiting Vilnius. Must book ahead though!

With a few tweaks, they may even get the second star… ⭐️ ⭐️?

A wonderful evening with delicious food and incredible service. Every server was very welcoming and friendly - I was hesitant to book due to some of the reviews but the service was top notch! The food was really good as well.

Top place! Get yourself a tasting menu & wine pairing and let yourself be pampered all night!
Service was amazing, wine paired excellently, and Boletus ice cream expanded my culinary expectations!

Džiaugsmas or Joy is a true culinary masterclass. Their dishes are all amazing and will truly capture the soul. The smoked fish pipe or the Ox heart tomato! Hard to forget and to resist. I love their food, though at times the mains seem heavy.

Yet, the service feels extremely rushed. While this can be understandable as the place is big and there are a lot of customers, it may create a feeling of being neglected. They are also hard to reach, getting a response to a message is extremely complicated.

Yet, I recommend the food. Especially the tomato! But be vary, this is a place where Speed >> the experience.

10/10 restaurant, we celebrate our first wedding anniversary and could not be any happier of the restaurant choice.
We took tasting menu with wine pairing, each dish was definitely a surprise and absolutely delicious. Wines were really good and matched with food well! Service was sweet and lovely, 1000% recommend and hopefully visit again when back in Lithuania 🥰
