If you are undecided on whether to book this place, please read my review and run to book your stay before they sell out. With only 22 suites, this place is as exclusive as it gets. This was truly the most magical place I have ever been to. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, everything about this place was absolutely perfect. We came here for our honeymoon, and they were kind enough to upgrade us to one of their nicest suites. The room was impeccable and made us feel like royalty. The grounds were stunning, and you can tell how much work and effort the staff puts in to make every detail perfect. The night we arrived, there was a bad lightning storm, but the staff were there to guide us with umbrellas and set our room for the most romantic night. We went to their incredibly relaxing spa which we highly recommend. The food at both restaurants was amazing and some of the best we had on our trip. Might seem like a small detail but the produce was some of the freshest and tastiest produce I've ever had. The true farm to table atmosphere was unlike anything I've ever experienced. Their cooking classes were top notch, with skillful chefs that make for a memorable experience. I was told by a returning guest who visited in the spring that the staff's energy was down due to the end of the season. All I can say is if our experience was the staff being tired, I cannot even imagine how incredible this place is at the start of the season. Overall, if you get the chance to stay here you will not regret it. We are already planning our return for our 1-year anniversary!

4 Star property with 3 star service.  Rooms nice. Property rustic but nice. Outside area is maintained but seating cushions are dirty and needs attention.  Staff is nice but seriously need qualified management.  Stick to a name brand like Belmond to make sure you get quality for your money.

After a long period of great anticipation, we were finally able to arrive at Borgo Santo Pietro. Majestically welcomed by a splendid avenue full of cypresses behind the automatic door, we were initially overwhelmed by the immense eagerness of the service-oriented professionals, and our attempts to pitch in were mostly thwarted by the dedicated staff. After 1-2 tours around the hotel, where we marveled at the architecture and infrastructure (many products from cosmetics to food are home-grown), we found ourselves frequently at the pool in the following days, as we decided on a relaxing honeymoon. The pool offers ample space for all residents and it is often very quiet around. The staff happily comes by to check on you, and you can have any drinks and snacks brought to your spot. What we missed was a notice at the ice cream stand indicating that the scoops of ice cream come with a hefty price. The toilets by the pool were kept super clean, which also applies to the entire property and the rooms. Several times a day, cleaning is done, things are tidied up, and water is replenished, usually with a small sweet treat ;-).

As the grounds are very large, bicycles can be picked up at many locations on the property free of charge. One evening, we attended the cooking class and had the delightful Raffaela and Lenka as teachers. We had a lot of fun, and they took a lot of time with us, giving us an unforgettable date. The hotel's restaurants stand out with high-end quality, and here too the service was impeccable every time. The breakfast, which is served from 7 AM to 11 AM, was also one of our personal highlights. The buffet offers nutritious and healthy foods, as well as very tasty cold cuts and fish varieties. The bread was incredibly addictive, very fresh, and also homemade. Additionally, dishes like pancakes, crêpes, and bacon can be ordered separately from the kitchen. Fresh coffee from the espresso machine and filter coffee were also available, as well as a variety of teas and matcha.

Everything was great, expensive, but worth it except 52 euros for a hamburger and wine marked up 7-8 times rack, the kicker was we wanted to go off property to have dinner, didn’t want the same restaurant 3 nights in a row so wanted to go to a local place 5 minutes away, they charged us 150 euros to give us a ride and pick up. Once your there without a car your trapped.

DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE WITH YOUR MONEY!!!

My fiance and I had planned to visit for our honeymoon and made a deposit many months ago. When we found out we could no longer make the trip, I cancelled our reservation within the appropriate timeline for a full refund. This was a month and a half ago and I still have not received my refund which was a substantial amount of money. Each email response says they “have not heard back from their accounting department yet”. Strange how they can receive my money in 5 seconds but it takes 2 months to give it back? After reading other reviews, it appears I am not the only one whose money has been stolen by these people. We have had no issues receiving our refunds back from any other hotel/resort in Italy in a timely manner. This is beyond unprofessional and unacceptable. If I were you I would consider one of the alternative options nearby that has a functional “accounting department” that doesn’t steal your money.
