What a great and luxorious hotel in the beautiful Dolomites. Truly had a wonderful holiday over Christmas and New Years. All the staff very kind and professional. Prices at the bar a bit overpriced and the sauna area is great, offering 5 saunas. Unfortunately lots of guests wearing swimming suit and bikini even though textile free sauna and taking pictures of themselves inside sauna. Made me feel uncomfortable.
But again, hotel was perfect. Thank you! Will be coming back soon :)

It feels so good.
A true luxury hotel with the service and amenities that go with it.
All the staff are very attentive. The setting is majestic and the dinner succulent.
The waiters are adorable and a special mention to the Tunisian gentleman :)
Thank you for all your little gestures and attentions, they don't go unnoticed.

Luxury hotel with no humanity :-
My friends and I were driving downhill leaving Val Gardena and we were heading to San Martino. Unfortunately, we got a flat tyre hitting a curb and the rental car agency was not communicating with us with good English. And so, we were stranded on the street outside of Alpenroyal from 9am to 3pm while waiting for the rental car agency to provide us with a new car or to fix the flat tyre. Various passerby's tried to help us and after running out of options, we went inside Alpenroyal to ask the receptionist to speak to the rental car agency in Italian on our behalf.

The receptionist, Rosa, very kindly agreed and after speaking to the car rental agency, we were told that we will receive an SMS text in a few minutes containing the new rental car info. After waiting for 15mins and still not receiving any text, we went inside again and was unpolitely greeted by a male manager.

The male manager was unwilling to help even though we have said that we were stranded outside. He asked us what were our room numbers and after explaining again that we were driving downhill from another apartment, he told us to walk uphill (1 hour) back to our original accommodation to get help instead because they have other work. We were the only people in the lobby at that time.

Thank you for your reply - I appreciate your time and effort in posting this reply. However, I find it insulting for you to claim that we were disrespectfully taking advantage of your staff's kindness and efforts.

The call to the car rental agency which your receptionist kindly helped us to make took less than 5mins. We then waited OUTSIDE by the road for 15mins before re-entering the hotel lobby. All calls were made from our own mobile phones. I have considered this from your hotel's perspective - we were barely disrupting any of your services as your staff were not serving any other guests and we were extremely respectful in our requests.

If you intend to apologize, please just apologize and please do not give further insulting justifications as such. Thank you for your consideration from our perspective.

We stayed in August 2022 as a family (with a dog) and highly recommend.  Incredible pool with all sorts of features to keep the children entertained; nice and warm!; indoor pool as well. Very nice gym.
Attractive and charming rooms that were high quality and had good character - not modern, soulless rooms that characterize so many hotels these days.
Breakfast buffet was well done with an incredible selection of foods.
Service was impeccable - staff were incredibly patient and helpful with my million questions about how/where to go hiking (which itself was stunning).
Nice kids club that the children enjoyed.
There's a fancy restaurant (which we didn't try) and the regular restaurant, which was fine, although not particularly charming or memorable.  We chose to eat elsewhere and enjoyed walking to other restaurants nearby.

Amazing hotel. Amazing staff and service. Excellent breakfast and half board dinner. Very clean and nice rooms.
Definitely we will visit Alpenroyal Grand hotel again!!
