Despite the high expectations our experience was outstanding.
The place, the set up, the ambiance, the art de la table, the service were exquisite.
The food and the cooking of Nadia Santini is purely delicious and fulfills all senses, concentrated in the essence and finesse and not so much on impressions. Tradition and local ingredients  are seamlessly connected to the future and  modern cuisine techniques.
The cherry on the pie is the warm and lively reception of the whole family, that is involved with various roles in the restaurant.

A Michelin-starred restaurant since 1996 - an Italian record - as well as close to celebrating a century of life: to get to know the history of Italian catering, you have to come to Runate, a few dozen inhabitants in the countryside between Cremona and Mantua, where an extraordinary couple have transformed the old family osteria into a temple of elegance and hospitality. We are talking about Antonio Santini, in the dining room, and his wife Nadia, at the cooker, with their sons Giovanni and Alberto. In a refined mix of old and modern, where space, light and colours leave you enraptured, you will be served memorable dishes that have spanned the decades, with subtle evolutions and improvements year after year, yet never bowing to ephemeral fashions, always favouring taste and the pleasure of being at the table. A meal at Dal Pescatore tastes like a fairy tale, set in the enchanted world of a splendid country house in the park of the River Oglio.

What a great dining experience. The whole Santini family is extremely passionate and it's such a pleasure to be their hosts. The service is probably the best in Italy, the atmosphere is warmly and elegant. The cuisine is typical but at the peak for quality and finesse. There is a reason if this restaurant has been at the top in Italy for so long...come and get why!

Great place, the atmosphere is warm and relaxing. It is a very nice place where to enjoy a nice dinner. The staff is very well prepared always paying attention to the table. They always explain the dish and how it is prepared. The ingredients are at the highest quality.  We will go back more times in the future.

Gorgeous setting, extremely attentive and friendly staff - they were so welcoming! Food was beautifully presented and most dishes were lovely - dessert was a highlight. Some dishes however lacked a little flavor but were still excellent. A wonderful experience!
