Rome is crowded. But surprisingly the Tiber is not - the riversides are mostly green and therefore shady and a bit cooler.
And so the Tiber-Island is a location to get some rest when visiting Rome: two Bridges connect the Island with both sides of the City and around the Island is a broad path where people hang out and enjoy their live.
The history of the Island is pretty cool and the only downside is, that because of the old hospital every couple minutes an ambulance swings by.

Looks beautiful but there are no good places to sit. A perfect place to go for a run or ride bikes.

We randomly went to the island after seeing some people chillin’ and sun bathin’ like villains!

This place was the most amazing part of our trip to Roma this time. Seemed to me only locals were there without any tourists. Grab la grattachecca from the small shop across the island and go there and chillax.
