its pretty hard to find an asian food in that area. So, we are so happy to find this dumpling shop. The food we have ordered are all good. But it takes sometimes to serve all dishes.

We wanted Chinese food after having Italian food for 2 weeks. We didn't expect much since it's in Rome surrounded by other Italian restaurants but we were pleasantly surprised. Their food was pretty good!

We ordered the ramen and that had a very nice flavorful broth. We also ordered the wonton soup, shrimp ha gao, and mixed steam dumplings.
The Shrimp ha gao was disappointing. The rice flour outside was falling apart and a bit too thick. It was overpowering the simple dish.

Presentations of the food were nice. The decor in the restaurant was trendy and fun. They were almost closing when we arrived but instead of turning us away, they seated us.

Unexpected fine.  A much needed relief after two weeks of pizza & pasta 😅.  The various types of dumplings are as good as any decent shops you'd find in Hong Kong.  The dumplings are all freshly made and cooked to order.

If you have a craving for Chinese food, baos and buns, This is the place to visit. Casual dining with quick service.  Order via QR code and mobile phone.

Reasonably good value and the portions are decent sized.

Arrived to Rome this morning and needed a snack during the day before dinner and Bao Bao was a great stop. I am Chinese American and live in NYC and was immediately transported back home! The dumplings were piping hot and delicious. There was only soy sauce on the tables but I asked for chili oil and vinegar and it definitely hit the spot. Would definitely want to visit again to satisfy a Chinese craving!
